Being a good lake steward means respecting the rules and ordinances that help protect our lakes, while looking out for our neighbors and everyone who enjoys the Cloverleaf Lakes. It means boating responsibly, protecting the water we all share, and knowing the right next step when safety concerns arise.

If you see a safety concern or ordinance violation, please report it through the proper channels with clear details, including the date, time, location, boat registration number, photos if available, and your name when filing a complaint. Concerns are easiest to address when they are documented and reported through the proper channels.

As a reminder, wake boats are allowed on the lakes. However, certain enhanced wake activities are restricted under Town of Belle Plaine Ordinance No. 2025-6 and can be reported through the process outlined in the image.

Keeping the Cloverleaf Lakes safe, respectful, and enjoyable is a shared responsibility. Thank you for doing your part. 💚

As boat traffic picks up on the Cloverleaf Lakes, here’s a friendly reminder to know and follow the boating rules that help keep our lakes safe, healthy, and enjoyable for everyone.

Boating on Pine, Grass, and Round Lakes is governed by Wisconsin state law and local Town of Belle Plaine ordinances. The highlights are included in the image, but please review the full ordinances through the Town of Belle Plaine for complete details.

A listing of full local ordinances are available here: https://belleplainewi.com/town-information/documents/

Thank you for doing your part to keep the Cloverleaf Lakes safe and enjoyable this boating season.

🌊 What’s growing in our lakes? Here’s the 2025 recap. 🌊

Our latest aquatic plant survey, completed by Onterra, LLC through a Wisconsin DNR grant, shows some good news and an important reminder:

✅ Native plants are healthy
✅ Watermilfoil remains low
⚠️ Starry stonewort is increasing in Pine and Grass Lakes
🌟 Round Lake is still starry-stonewort free

Because there’s currently no proven long-term treatment for starry stonewort, stopping its spread depends on all of us.
