With winter winding down, now is a great time to get your bike in for a tune-up or repair so your bike is ready to go for the riding season. Currently, the turn-around time is less than a week, so stop by and see us. Tune-ups are only $45 plus parts if needed. If you happen to buy a bike on-line that needs assembled, we can do that for you.

Being a non-profit shop, it's hard to beat our pricing. We are open Mondays and Tuesdays from 12: 00 to 5:00 and Saturdays 10:00 to 3:00. We have many bicycle and riding accessories like bike and car racks, baskets, trainers, locks, lights, bells and don't forget about helmets. We also have several bike trailers to choose from so your children can enjoy the ride with you.

If you're into camping or need a compact bike, we have 2 folding bikes ready to go.

What a great turnout Saturday for our annual bicycle holiday giveaway. By the end of the day we had given away 60 bikes. It was so fulfilling to see the smiles on the faces of the children getting the bikes and the appreciation from their parents. With the support of the community providing us with bicycles and other donations, we hope to continue events like this in the future.

We still have 16 bikes available to give away on Saturday, December 13. If you didn’t get up to register, please come around 1 PM to pick out a bike. This is available to Elyria residents for children 12 and under. Please bring your ID and proof of residency and your child so we can fit the bike accordingly.  we are located at 419 Middle Ave. and open till 3 PM Saturday.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, the Elyria Bicycle and Education Center will once again be hosting a Holiday Bike Giveaway on Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, or earlier if we run out of bikes. We will have 60 children’s bikes of varying sizes, along with a limited supply of helmets. These will be given out for children 12 and under who live in Elyria, with a limit of 2 per family. To avoid long lines and waiting outside in the weather, we will be pre-registering families which will be provided numbered vouchers with a time slot to come to pick out a bike with your child on December 13th. We ask that you stop by the Center at 419 Middle Ave on Monday 12/1 or 12/8 or Tuesday 12/2 or 12/9 between 12:00 and 4:30 or Saturday 12/6 between 10:00 and 2:30 to pre-register. Please bring proof of residency, such as a utility or credit card bill for verification. On the day of the Giveaway, please bring your child so we can help pick out the right size bike for them. We look forward to making many children happy by providing safe bicycles.

We will be offering a basic bicycle repair course for free on Saturday mornings from 8:00 - 10:00 am starting Saturday March 8 and ending March 29 to adults 18 and over. The course will be completed over the 4 consecutive Saturdays and is limited to 4 adults. You will need to attend all 4 sessions to complete the course.
