As the weather warms up we will slowly begin the process to prepare the Black Swamp Runner course for the three races in 2026! Our first race this year is June 20th and it is quickly approaching! We will have the first four waves be available for those who are looking for a competitive time, while the other waves will be for those looking to have a good time out there! We are getting excited, and hope you are too! An additional note: the th*****me package containing all three races and an extra T-shirt is still available up until the June 20th mud run. We look forward to seeing you at the course!

We had the pleasure of enjoying an event put on by one of Black Swamp Runner's associates: Done Weighting! This event, the 2nd Annual Walkathon, connected some folks in the local community by encouraging people to walk and grab some movement for the day! As we are all at different places in our personal journey, it's important to remember every little bit helps! That's why I am giving a big thank you to Dennis Williams for inviting us! I look forward to continuous work with Dennis as we combine our skills to continue to inspire people to become their best selves!

We would also like to give a shout out to Angie who works with Daisy Doodle Studio! She is the one who we get our staff shirts from, and she is amazing! We enjoy working with her, and I personally look forward to gathering some more Black Swamp Runner merchandise from her! Dennis Williams

Black Swamp Runner is back at it again, and we have three dates set for the 2026 calendar year! Our goal is to provide a fun course built for everyone (yes, even YOU)! In case you are curious, we have plenty of obstacles, as well as plenty of MUD!

Want to join in the fun? We would love to host you! You can sign up for any of the three individual runs, or you can sign up for all three combined! All participants receive a medal, t-shirt, and wristband for each race!

Available runs in 2026:
Saturday June 20th, 2026: The Black Swamp Dash
Saturday August 22nd, 2026: Black Swamp Mud Run
Saturday October 17th, 2026: Night of the Dead Mud Run

Registration is now open for folks to sign up! Each race individually is on sale for $40 each until January 5th, 2026 (increases to $50). You may also purchase the Th*****me Package that bundles together all three races into one price of $100. This price includes all three races with the addition of a special th*****me shirt. The package deal will increase to $120 on January 5th, 2026. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Hello Black Swamp Runner Community! We have been quiet the past few weeks/months, but we are excited to announce the dates for our 2026 races!

Race 1: June 20th, 2026
Race 2: August 22nd, 2026
Race 3: October 17th, 2026

We know for sure that the June 20th Race will be the Return of the Black Swamp Dash! We look forward to having extra awards for individual age groups, as well as some raffles for prizes! We can also tell you that we are excited to bring back the Night of the Dead Run for the October 17th Race! This will most certainly be a NIGHT RACE, and we will do out best to bring back the hype that it deserves!

Registration for these three dates, along with a Three-Sum package is in the works, so we look forward to sharing that soon! Keep an eye out, and we look forward to making this course better than it was in September!

Hello Black Swamp Runner community! I am happy to let you know that photos from the Return of the Black Swamp Mud Run may be found at https://www.zachphotoz.com/black-swamp-mud-run-2025. There are over 400 photos available for you to see, and you may download the ones you want to keep for free! If you want to request prints then that option is available, but realize all photos can be downloaded for free. These photos were taken by my good friend Zach Slone who is the main photographer behind zachphotoz. He has done some amazing work with these photos as he did his best to run around for the duration of the event. We appreciate not only his hard work, but also your presence to make the Return of the Black Swamp Mud Run the best it could be! We look forward to sharing more updates in the future about runs in 2026, as well as improvements/changes made in the offseason. Until then, take care friends!

Training Day #3!

Hello everyone! We are happy to say that we will host another training day this Saturday September 27th, 2025 from 10 am until noon! The cost is $10 for the entire session, and all other details remain the same as before. We have attached the image of how one can get to our location from the main road. We hope to see you there! 💪

Here is the first round of photos from the Return of the Black Swamp Mud Run! We saw many happy and determined faces on September 6th, 2025, and we would like to share some of them today! We will be releasing the entire batch of photos within a couple weeks or so.

I would like to extend a massive thank you to one of my best friends, Zach Slone, for taking these amazing photos. You can find him at www.zachphotoz.com and/or follow him on Instagram at zach_photoz. He did his best to be all around at the event, and he was able to retrieve over 400 photos for us! More will be on the way within the coming days!

We have June 20th, 2026 booked for a race, and we are working on finalizing two additional dates at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds. We are excited to bring you more action next year, so stay tuned for those updates!

Training Day Number 2!!

Hello everyone! would like to OFFICIALLY say that we will have our second training day this Saturday (09/20/25) from 10 am until noon. The price will be $10 cash only, which will grant you access to training on any obstacles you would like in the open fields for the entirety of the 2-hour period. Please remember that most of the mud will not be present, and that the forest and swamp areas will not be available. Spectators are welcome, we won't charge if you aren't training but we will have everyone sign a waiver upon arrival. I will be located at the gate next to BigFoot, which is noted by the red dot on the map provided. The red line drawn shows one path to get to this location when you turn into the fairgrounds from 163. I'm excited to host this, and I look forward to seeing all who can make it! There is no sign up necessary, you may simply arrive and have at it!😁
