Our Answer: Wilder Park!

After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, Seth Wadhams, a resident of Wilder Mansion at the time, salvaged two roof finials from the Cook County Courthouse, which had succumbed to the flames. While one finial deteriorated over the years, the second one remains in Wilder Park. You can find it in the southwest corner of the park, close to the Conservatory.

🐾 One year ago we opened the gates to Elmhurst's first dog park, Canine Corner!

Over the past 12 months, we've welcomed more than 1,000 dogs! Thank you to everyone who has made our dog park such a vibrant part of our community. We can't wait to see even more wagging tails, happy faces, and unforgettable memories in the years ahead.
