Marjon Thursday Night Golf League Formerly the American Legion Golf League - Moscow, Pennsylvania. At Present renamed to the Marjon Golf League meeting on Thursday nights.

Spring is right around the corner and the leagues will be starting at the marjon golf course!! The course has a lot of new projects that were started last summer and are still continuing this winter! New senior and womens tee boxes were installed, cart paths were redone with stone, new drainage was dug to stop bad puddling, and the work will continue through this summer as I do believe they are adding another 9 holes and Redoing the club house.

This Sunday will be the last Sunday for golf at the marjon! And it is also the marjon open I’m not sure if there are anymore openings for teams to play but if you want to call the club house and see 570-842-7922. For 50.00 18 holes of golf with a cart, booze and food how can you go wrong!!!

That was our grouping for the A group with 1st playing 8th 2nd vs 7th) 3rd vs 6th ) 4th vs 5th) moving on to the 2nd week of playoff from group A are Radick/ Suriano vs Sedok/ Rolston Second match up is ! Orloski/ whitelavich vs Mitchell / Mitchell

B group players are as follows and the winners as well

As we had out final Thursday night golf match, it was quite the show down featuring Mike Sedok, Dave Rolston fighting to 1st place champs against Tony Henderson, Pat Clifford with the loser of the match dropping to the bottom, 2nd place featured teams of Brothers with Kevin and Jim Mitchell going up against Tom and Jim Beskett, 3rd place we have Chez Forconni, Larry Stange up against Al Bedinsky and john kelley, what a battle it was for the top 6 teams with Mike Sedok, Dave Rolston claiming League champs for the 2020 season, and 2nd place was a hell of a match with 4 of the lowest handicappers in the league squaring off and it was the mitchell Brothers coming g out on top to take home 2nd place and I would like to recognize kevin Mitchell on a great shot on the par 5 5th for dropping a Eagle in from 70 yards out, and finally we have 3rd place and what a great match it was evenly matched up and new comer in the league John kelley getting his first taste of playoff action, in tje end it was chez forconni and larry Stange rounding out 3rd place, it was a great year and we are All very blessed to have had the chance to play this year with everything going on. One last chance coming up to get your name on the board with our end of the year tournament being played at the marjon country club with a 1pm shotgun start featuring captain and mate format, 25 dollars a person and a cook out to follow. Congratulations to the top 3 winners this year and good luck Saturday..

Yesterday as we approached hole 18 at pine hills from 200 yards out Gary Whitelavich drained his 2nd shot on tje par 5 to albatross the par 5 18th at pine hills, the course director said it was tje 2nd ever recorded tje 1st was 13 years ago,

Let's get this straight we can be confined in a grocery store, or at a gas station some ppl wear masks some dont. But out door activities like golf and sports are cancelled? That just sounds so messed up being out doors is great for the immune system if tje virus was present in a person it wld float awayin the breeze, and also we can fish, and go for walks where there are more ppl on trails then there wld be on a golf course. It doesn't add up
