💙🏀 MEET OUR SOPHOMORES + A NEW LADY RAM! 🏀💙

Next up in our Meet the Lady Rams series are our sophomores, #3 Joslyn Johnson and #54 Natalie Setliff, along with Kyleigh Smith, one of our managers who will also suit up and play JV this season!

#3 Joslyn Johnson 💙
Joslyn continues to grow into her role in our program. She brings athleticism and the ability to make things happen on both ends of the floor. As she gets more confident and continues learning the game, we are excited to see her take another step forward this season. We want Joslyn to keep understanding just how much she is capable of!

#54 Natalie Setliff 💙
Natalie brings size and another presence inside for us, but what we’re most excited about is watching her continue to develop. Sophomore year is about putting in the work, learning, gaining confidence and becoming the player your team needs you to be. Natalie has a great opportunity in front of her this season, and we’re excited to watch her growth!

And then we have one of our newest Lady Rams…

💙 Kyleigh Smith 💙

Kyleigh is new to Oak Hill, but it hasn’t taken long for us to see what kind of teammate she wants to be. She came in hungry to learn, willing to work and, most importantly, with a TEAM-FIRST mentality.

Kyleigh will serve as one of our managers while also practicing, developing and getting opportunities to play JV. I absolutely love that combination because she’s willing to help this program in whatever role is needed while still working to become a better basketball player.

That is exactly what NOBODY LEFT BEHIND is supposed to look like. 🔗

Everybody has a role.
Everybody has value.
Everybody keeps growing.
And when one of us gets better, we ALL get better.

We’re excited about these three and even more excited to see who they become by the end of this season. 💙🖤🤍

💙🏃‍♀️ HARD WORK IS SHOWING UP! 🏃‍♀️💙

Another week of our Girls PE Mile Run, and these girls continue to impress me! We recognize our Top 15 runners, but one of my favorite things to celebrate is our Top 15 Most Improved. Being at the top is awesome, but beating YOUR best is what this is all about! 👏

🔥 Maggie Lamkin led this week’s Top 15 with an impressive 6:52 mile!

📈 And our Most Improved girls made some HUGE jumps:
🥇 Baylee Nelson — improved 1:50!
🥈 Mina Jourdan — improved 1:20!
🥉 Maci Fade — improved 1:00!

I love watching these girls compete against the clock, encourage their teammates, and realize they are capable of more than they thought. Every week we’re seeing more confidence, more effort, and girls setting new personal bests. 💪

The goal isn’t for everyone to run the same time. The goal is to keep becoming a better version of YOU.

So proud of ALL of our girls who showed up, pushed themselves, and finished! Keep working. Keep encouraging each other. Keep chasing that next personal best! 💙🖤🤍

STRONGER GIRLS • STRONGER TEAMS • BRIGHTER FUTURES 🏃‍♀️🔥

💙🏀 MEET OUR JUNIORS 🏀💙

Next up are two girls who have become a huge part of our program — #22 Makayla Rachal & #33 Rozalyn Dousay! These two are different in so many ways, but together they bring exactly what we need from our upperclassmen.

💙 #33 Rozalyn Dousay
Roz has grown into one of the leaders of our team, and I’ve loved watching that growth. She brings confidence and personality to our group, but she also understands that there are expectations that come with being an upperclassman. Roz is someone we count on to compete, communicate, and help set the tone. She’s learning that leadership isn’t always about being the loudest—it’s about what you do every single day and whether the girls around you are better because of you. I’m excited to see her continue stepping into that role this year.

🖤 #22 Makayla Rachal
Makayla is another one of our team leaders, and she brings her own special personality to this group. She’s been a part of so many important moments for our program, and she knows what Lady Ram basketball is supposed to look like. As a junior, we’re challenging her to use that experience to help lead the girls coming behind her. Makayla has the ability to impact our team in ways that go far beyond basketball, and I’m excited to watch her confidence and leadership continue to grow.

What I love is that we don’t need them to be the same kind of leader. We need them to be the best versions of themselves while holding each other and their teammates accountable.

They’ve already helped this program accomplish a lot, but their story isn’t finished. Now they get the opportunity to help shape what comes next. 🔗

Nobody gets there alone. Nobody gets forgotten. NOBODY LEFT BEHIND.

BIG LITTLE REVEAL WEEK 💙🔥

🏀💙 MEET OUR SENIORS 💙🏀

This year is extra special as we celebrate our two Lady Ram seniors — #10 Madee Danzy and #20 Braylee Cedus! These two have grown up in this program, and now it’s their turn to lead the way for the girls coming behind them.

#20 Braylee Cedus 💙
Braylee has been a Lady Ram since junior high, and even back in 7th grade, what stood out about her was how hard she worked and how badly she wanted to improve. She was the kid pushing herself to run with the fastest girls and never being afraid of hard work. Years later, that same drive has helped turn her into one of the leaders of our program. Braylee understands that being a senior means more than what happens on the court—it means setting the standard, encouraging younger players, communicating, competing, and helping make sure Nobody Is Left Behind.

#10 Madee Danzy 💙
Madee has developed into a leader our younger girls can look to. She has taken on leadership responsibilities within our team, including leading one of our accountability groups, and she understands the importance of keeping her teammates encouraged and together. That leadership carries outside of basketball too—Madee brings another example to our younger Lady Rams of what it means to step up and be involved.

These two have watched this program grow, have been part of our successes, and now get one final season wearing OAK HILL across their chest. 🥹

As coaches, we know this year will go by way too fast. Our hope is that Madee and Braylee enjoy every practice, every bus ride, every locker-room laugh, every big moment and even every hard moment—because you only get to be a Lady Ram senior once.

Now they have the opportunity to leave something behind that has nothing to do with points or wins: an example for the next generation of Lady Rams.
