๐ฅ Honored to Stand Among Giants ๐ฅ
This past Saturday, I had the privilege of visiting Grandmaster Aโsa Raineyโs dojoโhome to a legacy of excellence in Kenpo Karate. Mr. Rainey, a 10th Degree Black Belt, has graciously welcomed me into his classes and invited me to serve on the Black Belt Board of Judges. It was a true honor to be part of such a powerful and meaningful event.
During this visit, we witnessed an incredible milestoneโAdam successfully passed his 1st Degree Black Belt test. Adam is the kind of martial artist every dojo hopes for: committed, humble, and unrelenting. Whether in class or in testing, he gives 150% effortโshowcasing not just speed, power, accuracy, and adaptability, but also the deep survival instinct that defines a true Kenpo warrior.
What sets Adam apart even further is his leadership and character. He treats every studentโregardless of rankโwith respect and kindness. He coaches others without ego, lifts up those around him, and never forgets that a Black Belt is a servant-leader. His self-created kata, along with the narration he delivered, was both creative and commandingโtruly a highlight of the day.
Congratulations, Adam. You embody what it means to wear the Black Belt. We are lucky to have you in the Kenpo community, and Iโm proud to call you my brother in the art.
