Final Race of 2026 Season Recap

We ended the race season Saturday night at Skagit Speedway running the Sporty class.
Although the night didn’t start or end the way we had hoped, we found the speed we were missing most the season. Dad tried a new set up and the car was handling way better.

During hot laps and qualifying the car wasn't getting to full speed so we made some motor adjustments. In the heat race and the A Main, the car was flying.

David went from 5th to 2nd in his heat, then charged from 7th to 2nd in the A Main. With just two laps to go, he made the pass for the lead—only to have the motor stop and bring an unfortunate end to our night. (I think it was the oil pump)

It wasn’t the finish we wanted, but there were a lot of positives to take away. We found some things that worked, David showed what he can do, and now we know what we need to work on heading into next season. It was a learning lesson for the whole team.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us this season. Especially Jonathan Olson, Dustin Bracy, Darren Chorney, and George & Kelly Graham.

We’re already looking forward to next year!

Qualifying: 13th of 25
Heat: 5th to 2nd
A Main: 7th to 16th (DNF)

We greatly appreciate our sponsors for the 2026 season, we couldn't have done this season without your support!

CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT RECAP

We wrapped up our first year in Sportsman Sprints at Skagit Speedway with an overall 6th-place finish in points!

It was a season filled with learning, challenges, and growth for both David and Dad. While we hoped for more out of ourselves this year, we’re proud of what we accomplished in our first season. We’ll take everything we learned, build on it, and put it to work heading into next season.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this season possible.

A special thank-you to Jonathan Olson, Dustin Bracy, Darren Chorney, and George Graham for their consistent help in the pits. Thank you to Kelly Graham for keeping track of our times, lineups, starting positions, and of course, the wonderful videos of David. Your time, hard work, and dedication to this team meant more than you know.

To our family, friends, and sponsors who cheered us on, encouraged us, and supported our team all season long — thank you! We couldn’t have done it without you.

But we’re not done yet!

We’ll be back at Skagit Speedway this Friday & Saturday for the Survive the 55 event — our final race of the season. We’re looking forward to one more weekend of racing, one more chance to learn, and one more time putting this car on the track!

Race Results — 9/19/26
