Lincoln AIR Athlete of the Month: Jacob “Jake” Biskup ⚾️
A senior at Ellwood City Area School District, Jake Biskup has built an impressive athletic and academic career through dedication both on and off the field. Jake began playing baseball at just 5 years old and has developed into a standout all-around player, playing every position throughout his career before becoming an outfielder over the last four seasons. A 4-year starter, 4-year letterman, and 2-year team captain, Jake has consistently batted over .300 while earning multiple postseason honors, including MVP recognition in the playoffs against Seaton LaSalle, two “Play of the Game” awards during this year’s playoff run — including the championship game — and a memorable walk-off performance against Burrell in the quarterfinals. He was also selected to the Lawrence County High School All-Stars team in 2024.
Outside of high school baseball, Jake has spent the last four years playing travel ball with Steel City Select and was chosen to represent Team USA at the LABC Tournament in the Dominican Republic this past summer, where his team earned a gold medal and Jake was named Defensive Player of the Tournament.
In the classroom, Jake maintains a 3.8 GPA and is a 4-year honor roll student. He also attended Butler County Community College to earn college credits and a certificate in Entrepreneurship. He is active in several school organizations including the Caring Team and Winter Sports Club, while also balancing a part-time job at Del Mar.
When he’s not on the baseball field, Jake enjoys golfing and is an avid fisherman and hunter, earning several awards for fishing as well. Following graduation, he plans to attend Community College of Allegheny County Boyce Park to study Business and continue his baseball career.

Congrats Silas Reichart - Riverside Athlete of the Month!
A homeschooled sophomore at Riverside, Silas has proven that dedication and hard work pay off. While many know him as a self-proclaimed “nerd” with interests in geology, metallurgy, mazes and puzzles, he has quickly made a name for himself on the track.
In just his first season of track and field, Silas has emerged as one of Riverside’s top triple jumpers. His favorite event, the triple jump, has become the perfect outlet for his precision, discipline, and coachability. This year, he earned a spot at WPIALs, finished as the WPIAL runner-up, placed 4th at the state championships, and broke Riverside’s triple jump school record—a mark that had stood since 1985—with a jump of 45’6.5.
With natural talent, a strong work ethic, and a passion for continual improvement, Silas has an incredibly bright future ahead. Keep an eye on him over the next few years—this is only the beginning.
