Ellsinore Owls Beat West County Walleyes
Ellsinore Owls were victorious against West County Walleyes 7-5 on Tuesday at 1301 Main St.
An error put West County Walleyes on the board in the top of the first.
Ellsinore Owls captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first when an error scored two runs, and Levi Boyer drew a walk, scoring one run.
Ellsinore Owls extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Chris Newman and Jake Nickelson.
Corby Seib pitched four innings in relief for Ellsinore Owls. The hurler gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) while, striking out 11 and walking none. Lane Crowley stepped on the bump first for Ellsinore Owls. The southpaw surrendered one hit and two runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking three. Benjamin Hawkins led things off on the hill for West County Walleyes. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and three runs (zero earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking two.
