Congratulations to the Velocity 17-1’s on being offered an American bid to the Girls Junior National Championships in Indianapolis. What once was a big dream of theirs to qualify for Nationals has since been replaced by priorities of their school teams and sports. The purpose of club volleyball for this team has always been to take those experiences learned in club seasons and apply them to their schools’ teams and seasons. The success these girls have had has definitely translated with multiple State Tournament appearances, League Championships and most importantly multiple State Championships amongst all of them! 🏐🏆🏐

🏐 A Great Ending to Club Season
🏆 18 Border Champions
💚 Velocity 17-1

What a journey this group has shared.

These girls have played hundreds of sets together — battling through long tournament days, celebrating big wins, earning championships, and standing on the stage of High School State appearances. They’ve grown up in the game side by side.

From Ellinwood, Little River, Moundridge, and Ellsworth, they came together as teammates years ago and leave this season with unforgettable memories.

There’s something incredibly special about watching multi-sport athletes give their whole hearts year-round. And now, these competitors lace up a different pair of shoes as they head into the final stretch of an equally impressive basketball season.

So proud of who they are.
So grateful for the memories.
And so excited to keep cheering them on. 🏐💚🏀

🏐Fun Fact🏆For the past 12 YEARS, the Maxwell family has hosted the Velocity Victory Challenge over MLK Weekend.

That’s 12 years of
✔️ gym set-ups
✔️ concession stand shifts
✔️ coaching multiple courts
✔️ late end-of-night cleanups
✔️ and casually walking 20,000+ steps in a day

This year? We took the weekend off and enjoyed cheering from the sidelines this year. No whistles. No mop buckets. No concession lines selling hundreds of walking tacos🌮 😌.

Don’t get us wrong—we love hosting this tournament and the memories it’s created (especially this photo of Mette presenting the medals) but this little break felt pretty nice.💚🏐 We’ll be back hosting… just not this year😉
