Mckena Parker will be fighting in the consolation wrestle backs against D. Sowers of Oberlin-Decatur County.

Nick Miller will also be fighting in the consolation wrestle backs against D. Hund of Pleasant Ridge.

Both Gabe Martinez and Jenna Borror are in the consolation semifinals and will be awaiting their competition.

The Ellinwood Middle School wrestling team concluded their season last night at the LMS Scramble.

On the boys’ side, Lucas Parker dominated the 105-pound division, earning a 1st place finish. Lucas opened the day with a hard-fought 5-3 decision over Griffin Henry of Liberty-Pratt, controlling the pace in a tight match. He followed that up in impressive fashion with a 15-0 technical fall over Joey Cregger of Hoisington to secure the championship.

At 110 pounds, Kolby Erb put together an outstanding performance to finish 2nd overall. After dropping a tough 8-2 decision to Isaac Colglazier of Larned in his opening match, Kolby bounced back in dominant fashion. He recorded three falls on the day — pinning Kolten Brabb (1:11), Bennett Merlau (3:25), and Zane Hopkins (2:08).

For the girls, Maggie Kern earned a 3rd place finish at 127 pounds. Maggie started strong with a 16-0 technical fall over Izabella Turner of Liberty-Pratt. After running into a tough opponent from Hoisington, she regrouped and battled back to close the day with a 15-12 decision over Kimberly Haddon.
