This is the first Thanksgiving Eve since 2003 I’m not prepping for a major workout in the morning.
I’m not buying fun snacks for participants.
I’m not moving members off waitlists.
I’m not coordinating playlists with instructors.
I’m not spacing out equipment.
I’m not dividing up shirts by sizes.
I’m not trying to get to sleep early.
I’m not getting ready for my most favorite event of the year.
This past Sunday, for about an hour, I thought of pulling off some miracle to make it happen for tomorrow. However, I knew it was just a bandaid so I wouldn’t have to feel this right now. I also know that part of healing is going through the emotions. My Thanksgiving is going to be very different tomorrow.
I will think fondly of all the opportunities we were able to be together for such an incredible morning.
I will remember the jokes, the pictures, the thankful thoughts at the end, and most importantly, all of you. 💗
