Earlier this month, our very own Athletic Outreach Coordinator and Head Girls Lacrosse Coach; Shay Ahearn, had the privilege of traveling to Japan to help coach the Japanese National Team in their preparation for the World Games this July! Coach Ahearn also had the opportunity to coach the country's next generation of lax players through clinics run by the SELL program!
"The chance to help coach a national level program in hopes of them competing for a medal this World Games was an opportunity of a lifetime," explains Coach Ahearn. "I am so proud to be a part of a school, program, and GCS community that supports me in pursuing my passion of spreading the game across the world. Thank you to the Japanese National Team for choosing and trusting me to prepare them for the World Games!"
