Reviewing maps, here are some things I noticed.
Slide 1: bad plot of SP, clearly not on road causing point A to be short. Always double check your plot.
Slide 2: multiple attempts at the magnetic to grid azimuth conversion from the SP to A. Looks like they got it. If you didnt convert and plotted it and it went over PL Washington that should have been your key to rethink it.
Slide 3: point C bad plot to the East a few hundred meters.
Slide 4: this is what a good plot should look like, very tiny, but with a larger ring so you don't lose it on the map.
Slide 5: a 100m wide splotch for a point, no way you are going to find it without a big search pattern.
