🎸 It's time to rock to help us roll! We are teaming up with local punk bands (including our founder's own, Las Nadas) to raise funds for travel. We'll also be selling merch and slinging beers behind the bar, so come hang! Doors open at 6pm on Saturday, July 11th. 🍻

🎉 Introducing our newest feature: ROLL MODEL of the week! 🛼

To kick things off, we're rolling out a fan favorite, Loch Ness Quadster! Or as we lovingly call her, Nessie! 🦕

1. How long have you been a part of the league?
Three years! I joined the Bombers in June of 2023.

2. What made you join?
I started playing roller derby in Gainesville and was in their new skater program for about a year before moving to Bradenton. I’ve loved to skate since I was a kid, and was looking to make some new friends which is what initially drew me to join! When I moved, I was working remote so it was a great way to get out of the house and meet people. I’m so fortunate to have been a part of two amazing and welcoming leagues during my time in derby!

3. What's your skater and/or official role in the league? ️
I primarily skate with our WFTDA B-team, the Bombshells, as a jammer! I’m also currently serving on the board as our league Administrator and head of the D&I Committee.

4. If you were a ghost haunting a house, what mild inconvenience would you cause? 👻
Hiding the remote control!

We're still riding the high from our very first WFTDA Regional Playoffs this past weekend in Ontario, Canada!

A huge thank you to all of the incredible teams, officials, volunteers, and fans who made the weekend so memorable. We feel incredibly honored to share the track with such amazing skaters and to represent our league on one of roller derby's biggest stages. Special shoutout to our host team, Tri-City Roller Derby!

Our skaters have worked so so hard for years to earn this opportunity, and we couldn't be prouder of the determination and skill they brought to Regionals.

From the satirical karaoke to the beautiful hikes to the impromptu roller coasters and the matching team tattoos, every single second of the weekend was perfect. As we continue celebrating our 20th season, we're excited to see what the rest of the year has in store!

Whensday is here and the year is 2014. Flat track derby was starting to evolve and skaters learned how to skate backwards! Prom that year was circus themed and we adopted a road in town to help keep our community clean. 🫧
