Hey guys! For anyone who left a deer to get mounted, and hasn’t received a call about it, your hide is still at the tannery. They have been backed up this year and are working as quickly as they can to get our stuff finished. We are expecting a large batch in a week and then the last ones a month or so later. I want to apologize for the delay but unfortunately I do not have any control over it. Thanks for everyone’s patience. We will get your mount finished ASAP once the capes return from the tannery. I shouldn’t have to make this post but I am. If you harvest a deer, intentionally leave the guts in the deer overnight and bring it in the next morning, it will not be accepted. I understand hunters not being able to find their deer and recovering it the next morning. In those situations there is still a 50/50 chance the deer is still good. However, killing the deer and throwing it on the back of the truck and leaving it overnight with the guts still in it is unacceptable. We have to do the best we can to get the deer either field dressed or to the processor in a timely manner. Even with cold temps there is no guarantee that the deer will still be good the next day. The internal body temperature of the deer never reaches a safe level.
