FLEX DAYS, Coming late JULY!
I think of these days as free camp days. Our EMSGB Flex Days. Its like sending your daughter to a camp/training for free, for 3 weeks. Any 5th, 6th or 7th girl that has interest in trying out for the Middle School team in November, should come out and participate if they can, no requirement but opportunity! It's not until late July.

There are forms and physicals required, which I have put in other posts on this page, so please find that information but once approved in the Arbiter system, you are good to go for our flex days! Dates are below! Times and Dates could be subject to change......

IMPORTANT ATHLETIC REGISTRATION for FLEX practices and Regular Season practices.

Elkview Middle School will no longer be using Big Teams for player sport registrations.

Arbiter will be used for all athletic registration paperwork and eligibility requirements.

Parents/Guardians of student-athletes intending to participate in athletics at EMS whether its flex or regular season practices MUST complete the online registration process, be cleared for athletic participation, and meet all eligibility requirements prior to engaging in any athletic activity.
A PHYSICAL IS ALSO REQUIRED, dated after May 1st and can be found here: under student athletic physical form. https://www.wvssac.org/forms/

Need some girls teams for MS Varsity.

The 2nd Annual HBC Hoop Jam will be held at Herbert Hoover High on April 17-19, 2026. Last year we had over 30 teams from all over WV and the tri-state area. We are expecting even more teams this time around! Additional local high schools will be used if the number of registered teams deems it necessary.

I can't be more proud of this team this year. They have just shown so much growth on many levels. Every game, they all contributed on the floor. It was a great problem to have. Whether it was my defensive machines, my shooters, rebounders, ball handlers, they just all had a purpose and a goal everytime they stepped out on the floor.

Every year, every team is different; every year, every team has a different style; every year, every team I adapt to them; and every year, I still miss all of them and all of it when it's all over.

To a great season 2025/2026 and our end of year banquet!

Herbert Hoover Girls Basketball 2025-26 will host Capital High School tomorrow Thursday Feb 26th in the 1st round of the Class AAA Region 3 regional tournament. Tip is set for 7:00 PM. Make your plans now to attend and cheer on the Lady Huskies!!
