Elkton Recreation Dance Program

Expressive Dance Studio is a dance program for children and young pre-professional dancers. Classes run from September to May. Ruth C. She earned a B.F.A.

We host various leveled classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, musical theater, contemporary, tap, creative dance, and mat training (conditioning & stretch). We close each winter and spring season with an annual dance recital, December is our Christmas Concert: The Story of the Nutcracker and May is our themed spring show. About Our Staff & Teachers:

Mary-Liz Humphrey trained at the American School of

Ballet in New York City and at the Luigi School of Jazz Dance. She received her teaching tutelage from Mrs. Petrinovic, Atlantic Foundation of the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has continued in her studies with many notable teachers and courses. Director, Bryanna Dean, grew up in the area and trained at our studio. in dance from Florida State University, guest taught, and choreographed works there under the School of Dance. She has trained and performed with companies in NYC, and continued to choreograph work with her small company of dancers at the time. Bryanna recently earned her certification in RPM (Revolutionary Principles of Movement) as a level 1 certified teacher and has 10 years of experience teaching dance to children and adults. Other faculty teachers are dance majors from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Big shout-out to our prop master, Ed Watson, whose talent helped make our show a little more magical!

If you find yourself in need of a creative solution for a household project—or even just a really big hat—give him a call. He’ll be moving to the area at the end of the summer after marrying a certain clown, and we’re lucky to be getting him! ☺️🎩✨

What an extraordinary final performance of our “Circus of Dreams” show! The kids have been diligently refining their imaginative skills, acting, dancing – mastering techniques in ballet, tap, pointe, contemporary, acro, and jazz. As a director, it's incredibly fulfilling to witness their remarkable growth year after year. From first hearing the small idea from each teacher to then see it brought to life by the talented dancers and choreographer. Watching from the booth is a truly enchanting experience. Fills my heart!! We're deeply grateful to everyone in the community for their support of these dancers. We hope all of them had a magical and fun time.

Thank you for a fantastic semester! We eagerly look forward to seeing you over the summer or in August when we kick off the fall season! Well done, everyone!

It’s time to get those summer plans rolling because we’re thrilled to announce our fabulous summer camps! ☀️✨ Registration is officially OPEN!

Early registration ends June 1st, so sign up now for just $46 a day! Regular registration is $60 per day after the promotional period.

Camps run from 8 AM to 3 PM, with extended hours available for those who need a bit more playtime. Check out our super cool themes that will make this summer unforgettable:

Each camp is packed with awesome activities which can include craft time, games, movies, singing, dancing, and acting classes depending on each theme. It’s going to be a summer of laughter, creativity, and new friends! 🌈💕

What to Bring! 🍎💧
To keep the magic going, please pack a lunch and snack for your young one, as well as a water bottle to stay hydrated during all those exciting escapades!

Extended Hours 🌈
Need a bit more time? We've got you covered! For $16 extra per day, you can extend your child’s adventure from 3 PM to 5 PM. Just email us to add on those extra hours of fun!
