WHAT AN AMAZING FUN DAY YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!

I’m not sure if you guys were as tired as we were yesterday after all the fun but I hope the kids slept well with the heat and water and everything.

we wanted to send a HUGE thank you to our Elkton family for showing up yesterday and helping us celebrate another wonderful spring season.

seeing all the smiling faces was awesome and all the trash talk at the dunk tank was another nice bonus. The kids showed up for the home run derby and really displayed those skills.

we are so proud of our elkton family and the community we are building here and none of it happens without you guys.

as for what’s next. I hope those in all stars have a great season and we win every district flag. I hope those going on vacation have a safe trip and a wonderful time. Good luck to all the kids in their fall sports and can’t wait to see everyone back between fall and spring.

it was an amazing spring season. As in everything in life there is ups and downs and disagreements but we all stuck in there and got through it together. Our community is only strong as long as we continue to remain committed to these kids and providing them with the best season ever. It was such a fun season and the boys and girls came so far and made us all so proud.

Please arrive a few minutes early and gather as a team. Once everyone is there managers and coaches will take the entire team up to the picture area.

Wanted to take a minute now that games have begun and the heat of the competition to share something that happened after a interleague game last night between two different towns. This was less than 5 mins after a game that came down to the last inning and was very competitive. There was no tears, no yelling, no arguing. these girls just gathered together as one united group on the mound to share in a moment that reminded me personally what little league and youth sports is all about.

The two coaches were talking at home plate and looked up and saw this occurring and it brought a smile to their faces.

This was all organized and done by the kids. The adult jumped in once the kids came together.

So proud of all these kids and I hope this can inspire you guys as much as it inspired me last night.

I want to thank Chesapeake City Little League for this moment. This was truly special and a great reminder to us all that these are still kids and there is more to this sport than wins and losses.

Picture day INFORMATION

our picture day is scheduled for Next Saturday April 25. Pictures will be taken out behind the left field fence of field 3 (closest field to 213 and Bow Street) near the Gazebo.

A few picture day reminders:
- Coaches - Wear Team Hat
- Players - Wear Full Team Uniform and Hat
- You may bring props like bats, gloves, catcher's gear etc.
- PLEASE BE ON TIME Teams should report 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time
- Gather with your team, she will take the pictures once your whole team shows up
- She will take individuals of every child and then the team photo
- Pre-order pictures online, it makes the process much easier on her and yourself (Order link is below)
