Game 2 is tonight in Elkton at 7pm. The Elkton Blue Sox will face the Massanutten Mountaineers at Stonewall Memorial Park in the 1st round of the playoffs. Free Admission! Come on out and cheer on the boys in blue...see you at the ballpark!!!

Despite Multiple Home Runs From Hayden Lam, Elkton Blue Sox Defeated By Massanutten Mountaineers, 12-9.
July 27, 2026 vs. Massanutten Mountaineers
Hayden Lam hit two home runs and drove in three, but Elkton Blue Sox lost to Massanutten Mountaineers 12-9 on Monday at Monger Park. Lam homered in the fourth and eighth innings.
Despite the loss, Elkton Blue Sox did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Massanutten Mountaineers had 12 hits on the way to victory.
Massanutten Mountaineers were the first to get on the board in the first when Will Dickey hit a solo home run to right field.
Jacob Cude doubled to center field, which helped Elkton Blue Sox tie the game at one in the top of the second.
A single by Trace Brunk gave Elkton Blue Sox the lead, 2-1, in the top of the third.
Elkton Blue Sox added four more runs in the top of the fourth inning on three hits. Braylon Brooks singled, scoring one run, Lam homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Colin Trost singled, scoring one run.
Eli Elgersma hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fifth for the Elkton Blue Sox.
Massanutten Mountaineers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the seventh, scoring seven runs on six hits to take the lead, 8-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Dickey that drove in two.
Elkton Blue Sox jumped back into the lead in the top of the eighth inning after Lam homered to center field, and Elgersma singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Massanutten Mountaineers went back into the lead after Dylan Frazier singled down the left field line, and Porter Craver doubled to center field, each scoring two runs.
Azzie Davidson earned the win for Massanutten Mountaineers. The reliever gave up zero hits and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none. Ryan Wright took the loss for Elkton Blue Sox. The right-handed pitcher went one-third of an inning, surrendering five runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking one. Christian Brewer stepped on the hill first for Elkton Blue Sox. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking five. Nick Foltz led things off on the mound for Massanutten Mountaineers. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and six runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two.
Elkton Blue Sox accumulated 11 hits in the game. Elgersma, Trost, Cude, and Lam each collected two hits for Elkton Blue Sox. Brady Grant paced Elkton Blue Sox with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Grant and Jamison Roadcap each stole multiple bases for Elkton Blue Sox. Elkton Blue Sox stole five bases in the game. Elkton Blue Sox turned one double play in the game.

Lam hit a home run to left field in the seventh inning, singled in the ninth inning, and singled in the second inning.
