What an incredible morning we had a few weeks ago hosting the brothers of Kingdom Fellowship AME Church right here at MBK! 🥋🔥
Sensei Kameren Ali led an amazing session of kickboxing and self defense training and big thank you to Pastor Russell for organizing and bringing this incredible group to us. It was a powerful morning and exactly the kind of community connection we love to be a part of. 💯
This is more than a workout. It is real life self protection skills, situational awareness and the confidence to navigate the world prepared rather than afraid. Events like this are powerful for team building and for anyone who wants to feel stronger and more aware in their everyday life. 💪

Maryland’s Best Karate was founded in 1989 by Dojangnim (Founder) Gerald “Awesome” Dawson (10th Dan),a NASKA Super Heavy Weight Fighting World Champion who didn’t just build a school, he built a movement. His first priority was always the community. Bringing structure, discipline, and love to youth who needed it most. That mission never stopped.
Those who knew Dojangnim knew a man who led with his heart. Kind, caring, and always giving. He poured into people the way great leaders do. And the greatest honor we can give him is to keep doing exactly that.
The legacy doesn’t end. It multiplies. Every child we teach, every life we shape, every generation we pour into, that’s Dojangnim Dawson living on through us. We carry his name, his heart, and his mission forward with pride. 💪🏾🥋
We honor him by continuing the work. Always. 🤲🏾🔥

⚠️ Our front parking lot will be unavailable this evening due to a vendor event next door. Vendor trucks will be in and out throughout the night.

🚗 Drop-off: Pull up to the front entrance to drop your child off as usual.
🏢 Parking: Please use the lots for the buildings directly across the street from our location.
