Race day recap:
Jensyn was on rails and super determined to get a win. Although, in his heat, there was on 2 cars since the rain delay kept some family's away. He started 2nd , made an almost perfect/textbook pass very quickly and ran away with it. In his feature, he started 4th after the invert, and had some work to do. He got to the lead, and was working his way through lapped traffic, and an ill time pass attempt sent him to the rear. He managed to get back to the top 5 out of nine we understood the mistake he made and was frustrate, but we couldnt be more proud of his growththe last few weekends.

Austyn had a much rougher day, starting 7th of 8 in her heat, she got tangled up in some first lap shenanigans. At no fault of her own, she piled in to the wreck.
We had 4 or 5 other dads try and help us get her car fixed, but the damage was about 3 minutes worse than we had time to fix. Huge thanks to "Uncle" George for showing up at the right time to help get it back together and re set up for her to start 8th in her feature. She had a slow start, but managed to make some super clean passes and get herself to 6th. She has showed a massive improvement in speed and willingness to make passes and we are stoked that she's getting into her groove.
Next weekend, the kids are off, but I will be racing at the Fire cracker at Black hawk farms.

And that's pole!!!! Jensyn was on a mission and set not only his personal best this year, but the fast time!
Austyn is qualified 5th, but her pace is right with the field with a solid heat, she's got a great chance at moving through the field.

Our youth racers Austyn and Jensyn have their first Qualifying day at MQMRA - Little Elko Speedway today! It's gonna be a hot one but hoping that makes for some fast laps! 🏁🏁
