Breaking News: Estadio Stoltz Arena To Seek Tax Relief For Upgrades!
The owners of Estadio Stoltz Arena in New Market Minnesota have announced that an effort is underway to seek tax relief from the State, County and City. The stadium has planned a series of pitch upgrades that will include enlarging the field, increasing training space and spectator seating. A new advertising system will be in place for the Memorial Day Cup as well. The Stadium plans to ask the state to waive all sales tax for stadium purchases and the county will be asked to exempt the property from local property taxes normally levied for schools, county and city services.
“Requesting and getting relief from the Government is only fair when comparing similar projects. The facility serves dozens of kids each summer as well as parents who get a little time out for themselves” said property owner Cam Stoltz. “The savings in the finance package will help ensure the facility remains a world’s class asset for the state of Minnesota”. The users of the facility are also Minnesotans.
The stadium will also be asking for a series of infrastructure improvements from the local city. Specifically to improve parking, public access and to provide utilities such as water for grass and lights for play. It is not yet known when or if stadium officials will meet with Governor Dayton or request to be on the Minnesota Legislative agenda before this year’s session closes in about a month.
