Subject: IMPORTANT: FBU Lincoln Showcase Cancelled Tomorrow Due to Extreme Heat

Dear Players, Parents, and Coaches,

We are writing to inform you that after speaking with the Lincoln Youth sports directors, tomorrow’s FBU Lincoln Showcase has been cancelled in advance.

Our top priority is always the well-being of our athletes. With tomorrow's forecasted ambient temperatures nearing 98°F and heat indexes expected to surpass 104°F, conditions on the artificial turf will be unsafe, upwards of 120°-140°F. Synthetic fields absorb intense solar radiation, pushing surface temperatures significantly higher than the air temperature and presenting a severe risk for heat-related illnesses and thermal injuries.

We are actively looking into alternative dates and plan to reschedule the showcase soon. We will share the new event details with you as soon as they are finalized. Please always check our Social channels for updates.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our players safe.
