Coach Trizila is a life-long martial artist and Co-Owner of American School of Karate and Judo, who currently holds a 1st degree BJJ black belt professor rank (under Luiz Palhares) as well as a black belt in Judo. He teaches Karate, Judo, and Filipino Weapons at the American School of Karate and Judo outside of Jiu-Jitsu classes. He was also heavily involved as a 2nd Degree Marine Corps Martial Ar

ts Instructor Trainer (MAIT) and OIC of the Marine Corps Rifle/Pistol Teams. His knowledge and first-hand experiences in combat situations have allowed him to develop a BJJ curriculum focused on techniques that are applicable in realistic self-defense scenarios.

🥇🥇Matthew brought home double gold on his first tournament. It’s amazing to see how far he’s developed in Jiu-jitsu in a matter of months!

🥈Elliot in the youth division put on a fantastic display for his first tournament against a larger and more seasoned vet.

The work ethic and coach-ability of our team is something truly special.

🥋Competition done right breeds excellence! Although not required, I have no doubt there will be more tournaments in their future to confirm their training and add competition XP to their level up! ⬆️🆙
