Wednesday night our gym was filled with both new and familiar faces as we officially welcomed our incoming freshmen to their very own practice with our senior🥹 girls.

We love dedicating time specifically to our freshmen because it gives them the opportunity to become familiar with the skills, drills, and expectations they’ll need as they begin training with our upperclassmen throughout the summer. It’s also a great chance to start building relationships and confidence before the season officially begins.

Every year, getting to work with a new freshman class reminds us why we do it. Their energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn make us even more excited for what’s ahead. We can’t wait to watch this group grow into the next generation of Lions! 🦁

We promise this isn’t copy and paste…… Our athletes just keep giving us more awards to celebrate 😂🏆

The IBVCA just released their All-Region Teams and Elkhart is representing WELL.

Seniors Trevor Hilliard and Kaiden Henderson are receiving 1st Team honors, along with an invitation down to Indianapolis for the IBVCA All-Star Game. Their leadership, consistency, and impact on this program have been unmatched, and we couldn’t be more proud to see them recognized again.

Sophomore setter Kayden Jones is earning 2nd Team honors, and if you look back at his season and stats, they speak for themselves. There was no offense without him this season. His growth so far has been incredible, and we know this is only the beginning for him.

Our final Lion receiving 2nd Team honors is Freshman, Emytt Koons. We cannot say enough about the way he stepped into a HUGE role at middle this season. The energy, effort, and work he brought every single day helped elevate this team all year long.

Congratulations Lions! Way to set the tone for the future of our program! 🦁

Oh you thought we were done with awards?!?

NOPE!! 🤩

We have two more AMAZING seniors to honor! Trevor Hilliard and Collin Khomphengchan continue to show us time and time again exactly what it means to be true leaders. As coaches, we ALWAYS want athletes who put school first, and we could not be more proud of them for being recognized for their hard work and dedication. Both athletes are receiving the Academic All-State Silver Honor presented by the IBCVA.

Trevor and Collin both have their eyes set on BIG universities where their education will continue to shape and mold them for an amazing future. Trevor will be attending THE Ohio State University, while Collin will be attending Purdue University. Because of their investment and commitment to academics, their future possibilities are truly endless.

Congratulations, boys! We are so proud of you both and cannot wait to see all that you accomplish next!

Last week, we had the honor of celebrating two incredible athletes who have helped lead Elkhart Volleyball throughout their time in our program.

Rylee Drummond (junior) and Kaiden Henderson (senior) have each been outstanding leaders on and off the court for Elkhart Volleyball, representing our program with hard work, passion, and excellence every single day. In their own respective seasons and teams, they set the standard for what it means to be a Lion.

What makes this year especially special for our program is that Elkhart is home to BOTH the Boys and Girls Volleyball NIC MVPs for the 2025-26 school year.

Rylee Drummond earned NIC MVP honors during the Fall 2025 girls season for her incredible contributions and leadership to her team. This spring, Kaiden Henderson received the first ever boys NIC MVP honors after leading the boys program through countless successful moments and an unforgettable 2nd season.

As coaches, we could not be more proud to see their dedication, commitment, and excellence recognized at such a high level. These honors are a reflection of the work they have put in consistently, and we are beyond thankful for everything they have done for Elkhart Volleyball.

Congratulations again, Rylee and Kaiden! Your Elkhart Volleyball family is proud of you both!

We cannot forget to mention how equally proud we are of Coach Rost and her commitment to EVB! She was also recognized for NIC Coach of the Year for girls volleyball and received her award alongside Rylee and Kaiden!

Another amazing honor for Boys Volleyball was celebrated last week by the Kiwanis Club of Elkhart, IN. Our very own Trevor Hilliard received his award for his incredible hard work and accomplishments through Elkhart Boys Volleyball AND Baseball. The dedication he has shown the last two years for both sports in the same season has been amazing to witness! We cannot fail to mention that he does all of these things with an incredible GPA.

Congratulations Trevor! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish at THE Ohio State University!

Here are your FIRST EVER NIC Honors for Elkhart Boys Volleyball! 🏐

We would like to congratulate our 3 Elkhart athletes on their recognition this season. We can’t express enough how deserving each of them is of this honor and how proud we are of the work they have put in to help build this program. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the game have helped set the standard for Elkhart Boys Volleyball and continue to push our program forward every single day.

This recognition is not only a reflection of their talent, but also the countless hours spent in the gym, competing for one another, and representing Elkhart.

All stats listed are from the full regular season and conference play, excluding the sectional tournament.

Today didn’t end the way we hoped, but this group of boys led us to our first Sectional Championship, and that is something to be proud of.

It’s okay to fall short. It’s okay to make mistakes. What matters most right now is how we come back stronger together as a family.

Today may be our last day in the gym, but we refuse to live with regret. Instead, we choose to focus on how far we’ve come in skill and as a family in such a short amount of time. This season was special, and it was made even better by an incredible group of boys who gave everything they had.
