Please note that the 1st Women’s 7s Qualifier for the 2026 Midwest 7s Series has been moved.

We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and look forward to kicking off the women’s qualifier series in Columbus this summer. More event and registration details will be shared soon.

The 2026 Midwest 7s Series is set.

Five events. One championship. A pathway to the USA Club Rugby National Championships.

📍 2026 Schedule
• June 13 – Fight at the Fortress 7s (Columbus, OH)
• June 20 – Firehouse 7s (Lemont, IL)
• July 11 – Gateway 7s (St. Louis, MO)
• July 25 – Midwest 7s Championship (Invitation Only)

Teams must compete in at least three (3) events, including two (2) qualifiers + the Championship, to be eligible for a national bid. Championship invitations will go to the top 12 men’s teams and top 8 women’s teams, based on best finishes across qualifiers.

There is no centralized registration—teams must register directly with each event host. Registration closes two weeks prior to each tournament unless otherwise noted.

🔒 One team per club (additional sides must operate independently)
🏉 4–5 matches expected per qualifier (min 3 / max 6)
🚫 No Midwest-organized Cup or Social divisions in 2026

🚨 2026 Midwest 7s Series Information Now Available 🚨

While the Midwest Rugby Union website is currently undergoing redevelopment, we’re sharing important updates for the 2026 Midwest 7s Series here on our social media channels.

Information regarding the 2026 Midwest 7s Series, including details on bidding to host qualifier tournaments, is now available. We have also released an updated Midwest 7s Handbook, which serves as the official Regulations and Competition Guidelines for the Series.

The Handbook outlines how the Series will operate and provides important guidance for clubs and organizations interested in submitting bids to host qualifier events. If your organization is considering hosting a qualifier, this document will be an essential resource.

🌧️⚡️ Despite two rain delays, the 2025 Midwest 7s Series came to a thrilling close yesterday at the Championship Event in Elkhart, IN! 🏉

🏆 Men’s Division:
The St. Louis Bombers completed their dominant run, winning all three Series events to clinch the 2025 Series Championship and punch their ticket to the USA Club Rugby 7s Nationals!
They’ll be joined in Nationals by the Chicago Lions and Detroit Tradesmen, who finished 2nd and 3rd in both the Championship Event and overall Series standings.

🏆 Women’s Division:
Chicago North Shore secured the Series Championship and their Nationals bid with a strong second-place finish yesterday.
They’ll be joined by the Chicago Lions, who stormed to a win at the Championship and claimed runner-up in the overall standings.

🥇 Circle City Tempest – Women’s Cup Champions
🥇 Toledo Women – Open Division Champions
