Because she won’t post it…I also don’t blame her but and the land shark have caught some barrels the last two weeks to be like fast fast! Now I think it’s pretty funny they are catching barrels because I didn’t hit barrels on this mare however I also didn’t have a first barrel like that! I’m also the first to say jumping riding is hard and a skill very few jockeys have…I’m not one of those jockeys and this is only the second time Lindsey has ran her. Y’all hate keep hatin on those little red mares my pastures still have room 😂

WI - AZ - OK - SD - and everywhere in-between!

2025 was the year nothing went like I had planned. Instead of complaining about it we rolled with the punches, got up every time we got knocked down, threw new darts at the board what felt like daily looking for something to stick…I’m not sure any stuck but we’ve got a nice list of things that didn’t work.

EW SHEZA FAB DESIGN - if I have a clone she is it. We come for one reason and that’s to win. Second place is no fun. We have enough adrenaline to kill a small child. Go from 0-100 faster than you can bat an eye. And if looks could kill the intensity in our eyes would land us in prison.

This little mare is my Seabiscuit…she doesn’t know she’s the smallest horse in the race and even if you told her she wouldn’t see why that was relevant. She’s not interested in making new friends or excuses, and isn’t interested in playing games. She understands she’s got a job to do and she’s gonna give 110% even when you only as for 50%.

You can’t teach a horse or even a person to win…they have to have that fire within them. They have to want it for themselves…no amount of motivational pep talks can ignite it. It’s either there or it’s not. But if it’s there it’s delicate…add too much fuel and things get out of control, don’t add enough and the fire goes out. So we just keep throwing darts until we find that happy balance.

𝐕𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬?

Yep. The same drug used in humans for… well, you know… is sometimes used in horses too. But not for that.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝘁?
The generic name for Vi**ra is sildenafil, a vasodilator that helps relax blood vessels and improve circulation. In horses, it’s most commonly used to treat:
- Pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs)
- Congenital heart defects
- Shunts in foals (abnormal blood flow between vessels)
- Sometimes used off-label for EIPH (bleeders), though results vary

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻?
Usually in oral paste or crushed tablet form, prescribed and dosed by a vet. It’s not something you’ll find in a SmartPak and definitely not a DIY project.

𝗢𝗞𝗔𝗬… 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 “𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀” 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀?
Nope. Sildenafil doesn’t increase libido or testosterone. It doesn’t make geldings act studdy, and it doesn’t turn colts into problem children. The effects are vascular, not hormonal. Maybe just don't use it on a stallion.

So yes, Vi**ra does have a place in equine medicine, just not for the reason you thought. No judgment if your gelding starts walking with extra confidence, though.
