Good morning, Husky Nation! If anyone would like to relive any of the action which I called a few years ago, I have found the playlist of most of the games which were broadcast on the Fuller Digital Solutions page with EPJ Huskies Football, EPJ Girls Basketball, Elk Point-Jefferson Volleyball, Elk Point-Jefferson Boys Basketball, and EPJ Wrestling as well (I believe). I hope that you all enjoy this flashback!

Good morning, Husky Nation! Mark Krebs here with an EXCITING announcement for you. I will be BACK this year, providing as much coverage of the Huskies as I can this year, beginning with EPJ Huskies Football coverage on Friday night as they will be taking on the Parker Pheasants with kickoff at Husky Stadium in Elk Point scheduled for 7:00 PM!

Also happening this week, the boys Golf team, led by Head Coach Kelly Haberling and Assistant Coach Marcee Irlbeck, will be headed to Madison for the Madison Invitational on Thursday morning at the Madison Golf & Country Club where they will be teeing off at 10:00 AM. If there is a Golf Genius ID assigned to this tournament, we will be sure to provide that to you as soon as we get that from EPJ!

We would like to thank our major sponsor, 72 and Sunny Travel, for providing the support needed to run this page again this year. As you may remember, I was the voice of the Huskies several years ago, and at the same time, I was also running 72 and Sunny Travel as well. I have taken the past year or two off to tend to some personal and family health issues but am now able to come back and provide more coverage of the Huskies for the fans!

I am looking forward to the 2025-26 seasons, and I still wear my Husky blue with pride! Go Huskies!!!!

Good afternoon everyone, I wanted to share this motivational talk that I gave last night to fellow business partners about overcoming obstacles in business and in life. I wanted to share this for those of you who don't know about the journey that I have been on over the past year. Thanks for watching!

This was a motivational talk which I gave on July 13, 2023 about overcoming obstacles in life and in business.

Husky Nation, as you may or may not know I am also a travel agent in Vermillion, and I am the owner of 72 and Sunny Travel. I am running a giveaway on that page and I could use your help. You have all been so responsive to help get this page to over 400 followers so far and I really appreciate that. I would like for you to go and follow my business page, 72 and Sunny Travel, for your chance to win a 3 day/2 night vacation to one of several destinations in the United States.

The goal is to reach 500 followers on that page by September and I know that with your help we will get there. I also wanted to let you know that I will be attending a couple of events here in the local area so that you can come by and say hi to me and get a quote for your next vacation. I will be at North Sioux Days Part 2 in Centennial Park in North Sioux City from 9-2 on August 5th and again at the Clay County Fair in Vermillion on August 10th-12th in the vendor areas.

I appreciate your support of my reporting of Elk Point-Jefferson Husky athletics, and I would appreciate your support of my local small business as well. As always, Go Huskies!

Husky Nation. I would like to give you all an update of what has been going on with me over the past year. As many of you have noticed, I have been noticeably absent from providing content regarding our beloved Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies.

Back in August of 2022, I had a near-death experience when I experienced a medical emergency at my home in Vermillion which required rapid transport and emergency surgery at Sanford in Sioux Falls. I was hospitalized for over two months due to that emergency, with the first 7 days of that hospitalization being in a medically induced coma and on life-support in the ICU.

I was discharged from the hospital on October 10th, 2022 after recovering as much as I could in a rehab hospital within the Sanford campus, but my strength and stamina was not what it once was at that point so I felt that it best that I try to focus on my newly reopened travel agency and not spread myself too thin for the duration of my recovery at home.

Fast forward to March 16th, 2023 and I had surgery to correct a complication which occurred while I was in the hospital last year. Unfortunately, this surgery was not successful and it led to 4 additional surgeries over the next 2 1/2 months due to a recurring infection which we did not find out about until June of this year.

During that time, I was hospitalized again off and on from March 16th through June 18th, 2023 when I was finally able to walk out of the hospital on my own after my 5th major surgery during that time period. I have since seen my surgeon and I have been given a clean bill of health from him and I am free to going back to all of my normal activities.

What this means is that I will be back this coming school year covering the Huskies like I have in the past. My hope is that I will be able to bring you some additional content this year that I have not done before in addition to the game recaps that I have provided in the past.

I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time in my life and I want you all to know that I truly appreciate everyone who supports me by reading my content. In my 2 plus years of being the broadcaster for the Huskies, I have gotten to know many of you and the stories of your children. That, to me, means the world to me and I want to thank you all for allowing me that access and to share those stories with all of Husky Nation.

I am looking forward to another great year of Husky athletics and to the creation of new stories and legacies for the Elk Point-Jefferson community! Go Huskies!
