Please join us as we gather to celebrate the life of our beloved husband, father, son, family member and friend, Jeff Wagley.

Jeff lived his life with a passion. Whether he was traveling with his family, riding his bike, playing guitar, helping customers and friends at the bike shop, or advocating for his community, he had a way of leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.

We would love to come together to remember Jeff, share stories, laugh, and celebrate the life he lived.
In true Jeff fashion, we invite everyone to dress casually. Jeff was happiest in cargo shorts and t-shirts and honoring his laid-back spirit by leaving the formal attire at home feels like the perfect tribute.

Your love, support, and presence will mean so much to our family as we celebrate a life that touched so many. If you would like to say something at Jeff’s celebration, please reach out to Leslie or Jennifer.

It is with completely broken hearts and unexplainable sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Jeff. Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and proud owner of Cadence Bike Shop, passed on July 4, 2026.

There are no words to express the shock and heartbreak we are feeling as we try to process this unimaginable loss.

Those who knew Jeff knew how deeply he loved his wife, Leslie, and their daughter, Mia. They were the center of his world. He also poured his heart into Cadence Bike Shop, where he built more than a business, he built a community. He cherished the friendships he made through the shop, the cycling community, and the countless customers who became friends over the years.

As a family, we are devastated. Leslie, Mia, his parents, Judy and Bill, his sister, Jennifer, his parents in law Lin and Bob are grieving the loss of someone who meant everything to us. We know this news will come as a shock to so many who knew and loved him, and we appreciate your love and support as we navigate the days ahead.

We will share information about a Celebration of Life which is scheduled for July 24th at 2:00 PM and the future of Cadence Bike Shop when we are able.

Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and for honoring his memory with the kindness, generosity, and humor that he shared so freely with others.

Another fun thing from our Landlord/Property Manager. With zero notice they came by and took all the awnings down on our building for upgrades. I’m having to turn the AC on way earlier than usual and my front door is hot. We’ve been told no eta on awnings and oh, our CAMS will go up to cover the cost. This is a capital expensive for the new owners but nope, charging us. Unreal.

James got hit by a car! He’s doing ok but still not fun. James was obeying all the laws and riding in a straight line when someone turned into him. He’ll need a little recovery time and maybe a new bike but it could have been worse. This is why we love the protected bike lanes. The City of Elk Grove should be working harder to make our streets safer and make our city easier to navigate on foot or bike.

Shop Local! Our awesome customer Gary purchased a Velotric Triker in blue. This is the 3rd bike he’s purchased through us. Ray is having too much fun!
