September is all about showing some extra appreciation for the referees who make the game possible!

We’re challenging our Elk Grove Surf teams to get creative and original with a “Thank You” to a referee. 🙌

📲 Here’s the challenge:�Create and post your team’s most creative “Thank You” to your referees during the month of September.

🍦 And there’s a prize!�The team with the most creative post will WIN a GUNTHERS ICE CREAM PARTY! 🎉

As league and State Cup games get underway, let’s remember that referees are human, too. Every call may not go the way we want, but we’re grateful for the time, effort and dedication they give to the game.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Elk Grove Surf/IR ACADEMY has been named the Best Soccer Club in Elk Grove for 2026, based on Google reviews. 🏆

This recognition means even more because 2026 marks our transition from IR Academy to Elk Grove Surf. While the name on the front of the jersey has changed, our commitment to our players, families, and the Elk Grove community has remained at the heart of everything we do.

To every player who steps on the field, every parent who makes the early mornings and long drives happen, every coach who pours into our athletes, and every family who continues to believe in us, thank you.

A huge congratulations to Mason Tang and Josiah Opicho on being identified during the Elk Grove Surf Sun Stroke Tournament last weekend and have been selected to travel to Reading, England with the 2013 Surf Select team! 🇺🇸✈️🇬🇧

Looking for a fun, supportive introduction to soccer? Elk Grove Surf's Fall Surfers program is the perfect place for young players to build confidence, learn the game, and make new friends in a positive team environment.

🍂 Season: August 17 – November 9 (subject to adjustment)

👧👦 Age Groups
🔹 Surf U6 (Kindergarten): Birthdates August 1, 2020 – July 31, 2021
🔹 Surf U7 (1st Grade): Birthdates August 1, 2019 – July 31, 2020

📍 Training Location: Local Elk Grove Park

🗓️ Practices:
Mondays & Wednesdays
⏰ 5:15–6:15 PM

⚽ Game Days:
Fridays & Sunday afternoons

Join us for our first annual Elk Grove Surf Family Picnic on Saturday, August 8, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM at Pleasant Grove High School! This is a day to celebrate our players, coaches, and families while enjoying some fun off the field. 💙

🚨 Boarding call: Del Mar, California! ✈️🌴⚽

These Elk Grove Surf players are officially headed to the 2027 Surf Select National Tryouts on February 13–14 at Surf Sports Park! Another opportunity to showcase their talent on the national stage and we couldn't be more excited for them.

Congratulations to all our players and families. Keep chasing those big dreams! 💙🌊

Congratulations to our 2008 ECNL RL Girls on an unforgettable State Cup run and earning their place on the national stage!

Their road to Nationals was nothing short of dominant:�🔥 7-0 undefeated�⚽ 20 goals scored�🛡️ Only 1 goal conceded �📈 +19 goal differential

After battling through the Group Stage, Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and winning the State Cup Final, these girls have officially won their ticket to Commerce City, Colorado, where they’ll represent Elk Grove Surf at Nationals.

Join us in wishing our 2008 ECNL RL Girls the best of luck as they head to Colorado!
