Hi Taekwondo Families.
This is Sara, Lily Grocke's mom.
As we all know Maam is having surgery for breast cancer this Tuesday. Maam, Sir, and Erin have done so much for our families and I was looking for a way to help support them during this difficult time. As someone who has personally cared for a loved one with cancer it can be very overwhelming and exhausting in many ways. When it comes to caring for someone going through cancer treatment it really does take a village, or in our case a taekwondo community. Even the smallest things are the biggest help.
I have put together a web page in which you can sign up to help the family. Options include homemade meals, having dinner delivered, or having groceries delivered. I have included some ideas for meals on the web page, however please don't feel limited to this, Ma'am has told me she is not picky with food. If you have any questions or additional ideas please contact me, or you can reach out to Master Patrick through the school email.
As we all know Master Marie Kennedy has been diagnoses with breast cancer. She will be having surgery June 2nd to remove her cancer. Following her surgery she will have several weeks of healing followed by chemotherapy. While we know that cancer has picked the wrong person to mess with, The Kennedy....
