15 months later the magic of the AT being across the street is not lost on us. After a big breakfast this morning we got onto the trail at Cherokee Flats and walked the 3 miles back to the house. I was in search of wildflowers but only spotted a few. I think the elevation may be a little too high here which keeps the temps much lower at night? But there is still magic to see and feel with each step and the air is sweet with the smell and sounds of Spring. You should come and see it for yourself!

Another great hiking spot close by Dirty Boots on Big Stony is Mill Creek Nature Park.
Bonus you get to drive through the little town of Narrows which is currently all decorated for Christmas. I hope to go back for pics of that when it is all lit up.

While catching up on some pic storage I found this short 3 mile out and back hike In Denali NP from May this year, Savage River :). Once again proving the vast amazement of the outdoors doesn't only lie in extreme, or super long hikes. Find you a trailhead an ease on in sometime 🙂 Follow us along if you care too..
