Fall 45+ Baseball was in swing at the Elizabethtown Sports Park today and the hot weather made it better. A large crowd came out to watch the East vs West teams battle on the diamond. Lots of new players getting their first CKABA action in the field and at the plate.
The East dominated the West, multiple hits by Torres, Luege, with a double by Barker and a triple by Yates. All-Star Abel Borrego started on the hill and got the win as Ehren Bernett closed the game out.
Ben Marcum started his comeback after being out of action with the Yankees the last six weeks. Gomez would come in the game for the West to relieve Marcum and Brent Parker would see some action on the hill. Hitting would come from Tom Schrieber as he would be the only player to have a multi-hit game.
East beats the West 12-4, winning pitcher Borrego and Marcum takes the loss.

Fall Ball was off to a hot start today at the Elizabethtown Sports Park for 60+ baseball. The Grays came into the park with a short line up that just kept getting on base and scoring runs. The Sluggers made a a good run at the Grays by the middle innings but would not be enough. The Grays ended the game in the 7th inning 19-10.
The Grays started Allen Simon on the mound and he will get the win. Ed Harness pitched in relief along with John Hutchinson for the Grays. Moe Bauman as usual would start for the Sluggers and Lynn Jarrett would come in relief. Bauman would re-enter the game in the later innings for Jarrett and take the loss.
Hits would come from everyone from the Grays and the Sluggers had several multi hitters also. The first W goes to the Grays, as the Sluggers will have to make some adjustments to firm up defensively. Next game is Wednesday, September 9th at the Elizabethtown Sports Park 6 pm.
