I want to be one of the first to congratulate the Hardin County Cougars on a great season. They fell today to Altamont 7-6 in the Super Sectional. Again I’ll use the word resilience, the team was down 4-1, then 5-2 and they never quit fighting. They had a 4 run inning to make it 6-5 Cougars at one point and then Altamont scored two unanswered runs to get the final result of 7-6. This team has had an amazing run this year and postseason. They deserve all the congratulations they can get on this amazing run. Congratulations to the amazing comeback Cougars. You’ve shown so much heart, grit and determination! Very happy for your success you’ve had this season!

Congratulations to the 1A Sectional Champions the Hardin County Cougars! They defeated WSV 8-4 today in the Sectional Championship game. The Cougars are now in the final 8 and will next play in the Super Sectional Monday at 10AM vs. Altamont. Congratulations guys, you’ve had an amazing record breaking season so far and very happy for your success!

IT’S GAME DAY‼️ Today our Cougars will be playing the Waltonville Spartans for the Sectional Championship. The game will be held at SIU Carbondale at 1:00. Let’s fill those stands and cheer on our boys! We’ll see you all there!
