The Mendota trail between Bristol VA and Mendota VA is complete. The Bristol side has a very nice Trail Head with covered picnic tables and clean new bathrooms. The ride out of Bristol starts out paved and transitions to fine gravel and then dirt that is well packed. Its up hill out of Bristol for about two miles and very steep and narrow on one section along the road. You level out for a short section and the down hill for about 10 miles into Mendota. The ten miles of down hill into Mendota is very beautiful and remote. I would strongly suggest riding in from the Mendota side to get the climb done first and then sit back and coast back down to Mendota where you park in the grass across from the Mendota Baptist Church. The climb is about the same incline as the climb on the Tweetsie Trail, but ten miles long with no breaks. Great trail on the Mendota Side, but its a work out.

If you have ever dreamed of a remote island with bike trails and no motorized vehicles allowed, I found it! Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan is the place where only Bicycles and Horses are allowed. No E-bikes unless you have a disability. The ferry to the island will carry you and your bike over and back. Very unique place with safe and fun riding with great views and a nice breeze. See the links below. They also rent bikes, Horses, and Horse carriages. This is one of my most favorite rides I have done in a long time, second only to Colorado.

The Cumberland Valley Rail Trail in Southern Pennsylvania is a peaceful scenic trail I had the pleasure to ride. I started at the trailhead in Shippensburg. They have a small museum in an old rail car at that location that tells the history of this quiet and peaceful trail. This trail is about 27 miles out and back. The highlight of this trail for me was being able to pedal through all the Amish farms. On the way back I encountered a large group of Amish School Children riding their bikes, I was told they rode the trail as part of their P.E. Class. There is no food or water along this trail, but it is a must ride if your in the area.

One of my favorite trails within a two hour drive is in Travelers Rest and Greenville South Carolina. The Swamp Rabbit Trail runs between the two cities and is a paved mostly level trail. It is a busy trail on the weekends, but the 20 miles plus out and back has always been enjoyable. The trail runs through the Furman University campus and you can access a few trails that circle a small lake there. I normally park at the Methodist Church in Travelers Rest . There are several places to eat there, my favorite is Farm House Tacos.

In Raleigh NC I found a great 30 mile trail with several other connecting trails. The main trail is the Neuse River Trail on the Eastern outskirts of Raleigh. The trail is paved throughout the entire 30 miles and very level and has no road crossings.

The Greenbrier River Trail is a fantastic 78 mile trail in West Virginia. This trail is very rural following the old CSX railroad line along side the Greenbrier River. There are little to no services along the trail other than some camp sites and a few hand powered water pumps. The trail head is between White Sulphur Springs WV (Home of Barnwood Builders Bone Yard and store) and Lewisburg WV. While in the area you should visit the Greenbrier Resort and the secret bunker hidden under the resort built to house portions of the Government in the event of a nuclear attack.

After much debate and thought we have decided to close the bike shop this year. I will still perform service for those I have in the past. I am going to take this year and help many of those who have helped me through life and also take time to enjoy life and many bike rides across the country. I will share those adventures here on our page. Please share and promote this page with your friends, we will have a lot to share over the next year.

I will start with a video of a ride I did on the new proposed Tweetsie Trail expansion from Valley Forge. The bridge there is very dangerous, if you go there take special care on the bridge. You will see the bridge and the tunnel on this video. Many more trail videos and pictures to come!

Due to a nationwide shortage of bicycle parts we will only be open by appointment only starting in November. We still have supplies to perform tune ups and we will glad to do those for you.

We hope this is resolved soon, however at this point we have not been given a date in which the supply chain will be back to a somewhat normal level.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.
