Snoppi currently resides near Eureka, California. Snoppi has a lovely temperament. He is calm and sweet; he is easy to catch and halter. Snoppi is smooth during tack-up and is easy to bridle. Snoppi is patient with his hoof trims and veterinarian visits. He is smart and learns fast. His groundwork is very good; he free-lunges and takes subtle cues. He has all five gaits; his tölt is butter smooth. Snoppi has been ridden in arenas, open dirt tracks and on trails in the Sacramento River Valley of California.
Snoppi is for sale because his 63-year-old owner is a beginner rider. She is still recovering from a serious bicycling accident (shortly after purchase) and does not have the physicality to keep Snoppi at full potential, particularly now during his prime years. Although Snoppi’s temperament is a 1, in the saddle, he can display stubbornness, especially when riding out directly from his paddock. His trainer refers to this display as “pony brain”. He will do best with an experienced and stronger rider, especially one who knows and loves the breed.
Snoppi is current on vaccinations, deworming and dental. Copies of his 2025 PPE, which include bloodwork, are available. He has been cleared of spine bone spurs and OCD. No sweet itch. He has been barefoot for the last year and a half at a 6-week trim schedule and he will be sold with 4 boots if you choose. Snoppi is currently ridden in a Sensation treeless saddle which will also accompany him because it fits him well.
