New Year, Green Light
Midnight pops like a two-step loud,
Fireworks echo, engines proud.
Another year in the rearview fades,
Burnout marks where the past was made.
We chased the clock, the win light’s glow,
Broken parts and lessons we know.
Late-night thrashes, cold concrete,
Grease-stained hands, tired feet.
Now the tree drops on a brand-new year,
Fresh slicks, big dreams, no fear.
Same crew, same fire, same need for speed,
Fueled by horsepower, hope, and bleed.
So here’s to faster, straighter runs,
More round wins, more racing fun.
May the track stay tight, the air stay right,
And the win light shine for us all night.
Happy New Year—strap in tight,
Let’s send it hard on the very first light.
