Salty Boats of Maine Salty Boats of Maine is a small family business that was started in 1991 by Bruce and Cabot Trott. We can take your old boat and give it new life.

Since that time the company has grown from building a single 8' Dinghy to several other models and we are still expanding. We also build custom composite items as well as repair and complete restoration of small to medium size boats. We started this business with the idea of keeping the traditions of Maine Boat Builders combined with the technologies of today. We preform fiberglass repair such as transom replacement,new deck, consoles, hull repairs, gelcoat repairs and more. Salty Boats of Maine has several small boat models that we build new as well as custom work.

This week Cam and Noah have removed the deck rotten stringers and ground down the surface in preparation of new composites. Meanwhile on the transom I have sanded it down, polished and puffed to bring back the original gel coat. More to come.

Follow our journey as we rebuild and restore this beautiful 1986 22' Eastern. This boat was built as a center console with a Pleasure Craft onboard 4 cylinder marine engine. As we move forward, decisions will be made such as keeping it as an onboard or converting it to an outboard. Stay tuned.

A big thanks to everyone that stopped by our booth at the show this weekend to look at our beautiful boats. Another thank you to those of you who already own our boats and came by or sailed in to say hi( or posted pictures while fishing). And the biggest thanks to my Crew and family for without them the boats don't get built and I don't exist. Thank you all.
