Just a quick reminder that tonight is our team party, hope to see you all there.

The following is the party info & address once again:

Party Date: Wednesday, December 28th
Location: Main Event Entertainment
Address: 2575 Pratum Ave.
Hofman Estates, IL 60192
(This is by Sears Center & Cabelas)
Party Time: 6:00pm to 11:00pm (please arrive by 5:45pm)
Awards Ceremony and a few surprises: 6:15pm
Food: 7:00pm (2 slices of pizza & soda for each)
Evening of fun will start immediately after we eat and will include Laser Tag, Bowling, Gravity Ropes, Billiards, Shuffle Board and Arcade.

Please note that if you would like to bring any additional family or friends, tickets can be purchased at door for $20.95 each. Additional food can also be purchased.

Hi everyone and Happy Thanksgiving.

I understand that a few of you are concerns that you may not be able to make it to the Year End party because you may be going out of town for the holidays. Please understand that we did want to hold the party earlier, but due to team funds available, coaches schedules, venue availability and knowning the players would be out of school we selected December 28th. I have know problem changing the party to an available date in January, but I am leaving this up to you all. I need to know your thoughts immediately and if you would like for me to find a available time in January. Majority rules here everyone, so Keep the current date or Change it???? I wish everyone a safe and memorable Thanksgiving.

We have set our Year End Elgin Bears Varsity Big 10 Bash for Wednesday, December 28th and the following is the party info:

A man seems never to know what anything means till he has lost it and this I suppose is the reason why yesterday's season ending loss was so hard.

I always believed in each and every player, I saw so much potential in them (maybe sometimes more than they could see in themselves), but I never thought of losing or that any team was better then us. Now that the season has ended, I will miss the opportunity to further coach all you young men and watch you grow with each passing week.

Gentleman you will always have a place in my heart and I wish all of you the best for what life has to offer weather it be in football, school or any passion you set your sights on. Thank you all for a great season and many memories. You will always be winners to me.

We have moved practice tonight indoors and at the YMCA located at 50N. McLean Blvd. Elgin, IL. It is located 1/2 block north of Larkin High School. Time 6pm to 7:30pm. No cleats allowed in building and no equipment needed. We will be reviewing game footage and going over plays.

We will be in a smaller room and not much extra space, so parents if you would like to drop off players at 6:00pm and pickup at 7:30pm that would be great.

Our first Playoff game will be against Lake Villa this Sunday. Game will be held at Grayslake North High School located 1925 North IL Route 83, Round Lake Beach, IL 60030.

Game time is 2:00pm. All players please arrive by 12:00 noon. Make sure you have something to eat prior to getting to field and double check that you have all of your equipment needed to play the game.

Parents are encouraged to come out to practice all this week and watch our team, as the players get playoff ready.

ANOTHER CHANGE - Sorry everyone I was just informed that our game was now moved back to 11:30am (our original time) and the 8th grader recognition will be held during half time of the game before ours. I am told half time would be around 10:30am. I would plan on alittle earlier. I am sorry for all of the confusion. Coach Dave

Hey everyone I was just informed that our game time this Sunday has changed to 2:30 pm. All players need to be at field at 12:30 pm.

In addition, as this is our last season home game we will be honoring our eighth grade players during the half time of the game prior. This is a special time for these players as it is the last time they will play on Drake Field as an Elgin Bear.

Please join us in celebrating there time here as a Elgin Bear and wish them well as they enter High School and the future it holds for them.

We will be weighting in early this Sunday, so please be ontime.

All players, family members and friends we need your help! Varsity Big 10 Football Adopt-a-Bear program needs to find homes for all of our cute and cuddly teddy bears. Adoption rate is $6.00 each or 2 for $10.00. All funds go to support Elgin Bears Varsity Big 10 Team. Please see Team Mom Maureen or Coach Dave to about one today.

This weeks game is at home against Mundelein at 11:30am. Players please be at Drake Field by 9:30am and ready to play.

This weekends game is a SATURDAY game against Lake Zurich in Lake Zurich. The address they give is IL-22 & Telser Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Game is at 2:30pm, all players please arrive at 12:30. See everyone Saturday.
