Recently shipped this combo, to one of my best friends in High School, in Illinois.

The knife is hand forged 5160 high carbon spring steel 3/16" thick, full tang . The drop point style blade is double tempered and finished to satin. The bolster is textured. The handle scales are Arizona Premium Ironwood, in a palm swell design, with brass pins and a thong hole, and a white spacer. The spine is hand filed, and the Indian Creek makers mark is in the handle section. This piece has some heft to it, but fits well in the hand and is balanced.
Jim's knife will double as a hunter or camp knife.
The sheath is hand tooled top grain veg tanned leather, riveted at stress points, antique stained. It is hand stitched with 4-cord English waxed linen.
This blade was built to be used, and to serve it's owner for many years to come. I'd love to make you one like it. PM me !!

Basic Hunter #042
Blade is hand forged, hand finished 1075Cr1 tool steel. Antiqued with a hamon, fileworked spine. Bolster is brass, silver soldered and pinned. Handle is Prime Arizona Ironwood, finished in palm swell style with brass pins and white and black spacers. Sheath is a pouch style made from suede, glued and riveted in Rendezvous style. Couple recent builds that I haven't posted yet.

Drop Point Hunter/Skinner #021 Blade is hand forged, hand finished 1095 high carbon steel, satin finished. Blade features fileworked spine with nickel bolster, textured. Handle is a tip piece of Arizona Mule Deer with stacked leather and brass spacers. Guard is brass as well. Sheath is pouch style suede with suede fringe. Client asked for the sheath to look like tree bark, so I stained it as you see, and he liked it. Handle butt bolt is brass. Client is chomping at the bit to put this baby to work this coming deer season. Combo sold for $145. I'd gladly make anyone who's interested a reasonable facsimile of the below combo, or with any changes you might desire. PM me and let's talk.

This gut hook skinner is made from hand forged 1075 Cr1 high carbon tool steel, satin finished. Palm swell handle is stabilized hickory with copper rivets.

Sheath is veg tanned 10oz. top grade leather. Hand tooled, antique stained and brass riveted.

For some time now, when I'm displaying my work in an effort to sell them, I get asked "How's come when you make knives, you're not wearing one?" I try to make the point that I'm in the business of SELLING KNIVES, not wearing them. At any rate, I figured maybe I'd make "Me" one. I did, and I like it, but if someone offered me enough I might part with it. HA !!

The knife is a Scagel style Bowie, blade steel is 1/8 inch 1065, 6 3/4 inches, antiqued, hand forged and hand finished. Bolster and guard are textured nickel steel, antiqued. Handle is a large Arizona Mule deer crown piece, with stacked leather and a white spacer, 5 inches long.

The sheath is top grain veg tanned 7oz. leather, riveted frontier style. Want one like it ? PM me, and let's talk.
