๐Ÿพ Arrow Got Fan Mail! ๐Ÿ“ฌ๐Ÿ’•

We tracked for youth hunter Cora this fall after she shot a deer while hunting with her dad Blair, and she sent Arrow the sweetest thank-you package. A handwritten note, a KT gift card (for dog snacks), and a special treat just for her ๐Ÿ’•

Arrow absolutely loved it. She enjoyed her treat and guarded it from the other dogs. She wasnt about to share it with anyone ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿพ

Thank you, Cora! You made Arrowโ€™s day ๐ŸฆŒ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’–

๐ŸฆŒ Dave Hughes โ€“ Olmsted County, MN ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Congrats Dave on a successful recovery! While tracking his deer, the buck was still alive and was jumped from his bed. Following the jump any blood sign quickly disappeared. He and his hunting party made a sweep of the general area in their search, but came up empty.

Arrow and I arrived the following morning and she made quick work through the line of travel and beyond ๐Ÿพ. As we were tracking along the topside of a ridge, there lay Daveโ€™s deer below us in the bottom. During their search the day prior they had actually stood within yards of this deerโ€™s final location. With his white belly pointed toward that area and not being bedded in heavy cover, it is likely this liver-hit buck wandered into that spot sometime later and expired.

Congratulations Dave, and thank you for trusting the UncleTracker crew for the assist ๐ŸฆŒ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

๐ŸฆŒ Levi Hershberger, Fillmore County ๐Ÿ’ฅ

When Levi touched one off on this buck he only saw him for a split second before the deer disappeared out of sight. As he began to track there were only a couple specks of blood within yards of the hit site and no indication of which direction the deer had gone. He suspected the buck dropped down into the valley, but with no clues and a whole lot of country the deer could have vanished into ๐Ÿงญ, he was at a loss, so he played it wisely and reached out to the UncleTracker crew.

I know Levi through my job and he knows we have a secret weapon, Arrow. He really wanted to recover his deer and did not want to mess up his chances by aimlessly searching ๐Ÿฅพ, so we made a plan to track the following day.

When Arrow entered the hit area she made a couple quick circles to get the situation sorted out and then she was off. She crossed a small ditch and headed in what looked like the wrong direction. There was still no blood sign to speak of but I let her do her thing. As we were heading toward the edge of the woods I started thinking she might just be taking me on a hike because we were running out of cover. Back into the drainage and up the drainage she went and, opeโ€ฆ dead deer!

Turns out the deer did the exact opposite of what was expected (happens often) and tucked himself right up into the narrow drainage. No noticeable blood at all in the distance he traveled to get there. Levi was happy to recover his deer, even if it wasnโ€™t quite the same buck he thought he had hit ๐Ÿ˜†. It happens.

He plans to honor this deer with some delicious eats and a nice euro mount for the wall. Congrats Levi on a nice harvest, and thank you for trusting the UncleTracker Team when you knew the track was going to be a difficult one ๐Ÿพ๐ŸฆŒ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐ŸฆŒ Isaac โ€œIkeโ€ Pfeilsticker, Wabasha County ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Ike kicked off the 2025 firearm season with a BANG on a super solid 8 while hunting with his dad on opening morning. The shot looked just a bit back, and after giving the deer some time they picked up the trail and made it to an empty bloody bed. Gut shot deer, especially rutting bucks, often need plenty of time to expire or you risk bumping them. They did not see this deer leave his bed, but with the blood trail thinning out they made the smart call to back out and look for a dog ๐Ÿถ. Ikeโ€™s dad found the TRAKR app, submitted a request, and we were soon connected with a plan to track the following morning at the 24 hour mark.

Arrow locked onto the line right away ๐Ÿพ and worked cleanly to the known bed and beyond. With at times long stretches between blood sign she stayed committed and quickly took us to a road crossing where a couple specks confirmed the deer had crossed. After catching up with Ikeโ€™s grandpa we continued the track across the road and into the tall grass where, just over 600 yards from the hit site, we found this beautiful buck waiting for young Ike ๐ŸฆŒ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

High fives all around ๐Ÿ™Œ. We especially love a youth recovery, and this one was extra special with THREE generations of deer hunters together on the track โค๏ธ. One heck of a deer, Ike. Well done, young man ๐Ÿ‘.

Congratulations, and thank you for having the UncleTracker Team along for the assist ๐Ÿพ๐ŸฆŒ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐ŸฆŒ Kincade Kirkpatrick, Olmsted County, MN ๐Ÿ’ฅ

An urban firearm buck in the truck for this happy hunter. This track was anything but straightforward, stretching over two days after jumping this deer the first evening.

After gaining additional permission and giving this buck extra time, we followed up the next evening with an army of Kincadeโ€™s close friends and family tagging along. It was fun to work with an audience while Arrow got back to work. She stayed locked in and pushed through the urban edges, backyards, and pockets of cover to bring this track to a close and reunite Kincade with a very nice urban-dwelling buck ๐Ÿพ๐ŸฆŒ

Huge thank you to the neighboring property owners who allowed us to continue the track. Arrow was one happy pup to finally get teeth on this one after he slipped past us the first round ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿพ

Congrats, Kincade, on a great firearm-season buck and a memorable track. Thanks for having the UncleTracker Team along for the adventure ๐ŸฆŒ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

๐ŸฆŒ Anonymous Hunter, Winona County, MN ๐Ÿน

This hill-country buck met his demise to a lucky archery hunter just prior to the MN firearm opener. He and his buddy had been after this deer for a few days, trying to piece together his movements, and up to that point they had been just a step behind. Not on this hunt though.

The hunter felt his shot was slightly back and watched the buck run a short distance before slowing to a walk and heading straight up a steep hill out of sight. With no blood to be found and not many options after a quick look, he applied for help on the TRAKR app. We applied to the track, talked things over, and based on the likelihood of liver or gut involvement, planned to track the following evening.

At roughly the 25-hour mark Arrow went to work. She was efficient and quick, taking us up over 115 feet of elevation in the steep terrain. She showed me the first sign of blood in what was clearly the deerโ€™s first bed. From there she hugged the side hill and worked us to another bed, and shortly after that we were standing over this hunterโ€™s trophy. He was relieved, to say the least, and out of breath lol ๐Ÿ˜…๐ŸฆŒ

His buddies showed up just in time as we were walking back to the vehicles and were there helping retrieve and haul this big buck off the hillside where he died. Team effort all around.

Congratulations on a very nice, well-earned SE MN whitetail. We appreciate you having UncleTracker along for the recovery ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™Œ
