How do you recover after a workout? Extreme muscle soreness isn’t proof of a better workout. Recovery is where the body rebuilds, restores, and gets stronger.

Soreness is feedback—not the goal.

Science is clear:
“Muscle soreness is a poor indicator of training effectiveness.” — Brad Schoenfeld

That post-workout soreness (called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness; a.k.a. DOMS)
is often just your body adapting to something new—not proof of progress.

So here’s the truth:
• Sore? Normal.
• Not sore? Also normal.

Progress isn’t measured by pain.
It’s built through consistency, strength gains, better movement, and recovery.

Stop chasing soreness.
Start training with intention.
