Sykesville, Maryland, December 6, 2024 -- Ex*****on Athletics is excited to announce that Top Gun Batting Cages (www.topgunball.com), under the leadership of Jon Hobdy, is going to take over the reins of Ex*****on Athletics operations in the coming weeks! As you know, Ex*****on Athletics is one of the largest and well known facilities in the state that has always strived to be the best functional fitness gym around. Top Gun will now carry that torch to provide the community everything it has come to know and expect. I am confident that Jon will do a great job leading Ex*****on into the future. Under Jon's leadership, Top Gun is excited to provide the same great service that you've come to expect from Ex*****on Athletics, with no break in service. About Top Gun: Top Gun is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) owned by Jon Hobdy, Scott Arterburn, and Kevin Huber. Top Gun Batting Cages has been providing the very best customer experience in indoor baseball/softball entertainment and training (both private and class settings), summer camps, birthday parties, and more to the Sykesville area since September 2018. Top Gun's 21,000 square foot location at 1332 Londontown Blvd has become a staple in the lives of the many baseball and softball enthusiast families in the area. Top Gun expanded in late 2023 with the addition of a second micro-location (4000 square feet) in Eldersburg with the goal of providing 24-hour member access for baseball/softball training. About Jon Hobdy: Jon is a 24-year retired enlisted veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Upon leaving the military in 2013, Jon ran a cybersecurity company for six years but never kept his eye off his goal of having a business built around his passion for his favorite sports: baseball and softball. In every business he has operated, Jon's focus has been on the mission (ie. customer), while knowing that it's his staff that are truly the key to success and has committed to always doing the very best by them. Jon has been married for 32 incredible years to his high-school sweetheart (Cherish) and is the proud father of four amazing children (Anne, Emma, Sarah, and Harrison).
