Strongest Dog Breeds Ever Bred 🐕💪

These powerful dog breeds are known for their strength, courage, protective instincts, and ability to handle demanding working roles.

1. Kangal – A powerful livestock guardian from Turkey, known for its large frame, strong jaws, and fearless instinct to protect flocks from predators.

2. Cane Corso – A muscular Italian mastiff with an athletic build, strong guarding instincts, and the confidence to protect both property and family.

Scientists tried to train coyotes not to kill livestock by making them puke after eating chemically treated prey. The coyotes learned a lesson, just not the one scientists wanted.

Researchers experimented with a technique called conditioned taste aversion, feeding coyotes prey meat treated with lithium chloride to make them sick. In one experiment, they even stuffed treated jackrabbit meat back inside rabbit hides to make the bait look more realistic. The hope was to make coyotes sick after eating the bait, and eventually they would associate that sickness with killing similar prey.

It worked, on the bait. The coyotes learned to avoid the lithium-treated meat. But when researchers put live jackrabbits and chickens in front of them, the conditioned coyotes continued killing and eating them at the same rate as coyotes that had never been conditioned at all. Some even figured out how to eat untreated portions of the bait while avoiding the chemically treated meat.

Researchers later tried similar experiments involving sheep meat and live lambs, including attempts to disguise the lithium so coyotes couldn’t detect it. Nothing changed. coyotes could tell the difference between weird bait that made them sick and a live animal running around in front of them. After years of experiments, scientists had successfully taught coyotes one very important survival lesson. Don’t eat the puke bait.

DID YOU KNOW? The Re*****on Model 11-48 and the Sportsman-48 are post World War II, long-recoil SA shotguns introduced as a modernized replacement for the older Re*****on Model 11. The "Sportsman-48" was marketed as a specific economy and hunting variant. It featured a dimpled or crimped magazine tube to restrict capacity to three total shells (two in the magazine, one in the chamber) to comply with specific game laws. It was limited to 12, 16, and 20 gauges with roughly 276,000 units made. The Model 11-48 was offered in a wide range of gauges including 12, 16, 20, 28, and .410. Total production reached roughly 455,600 units.
