Congrats to the Aerospace Dive Club on their participation in the Avalon Underwater Cleanup 2017!

The club collected an interesting variety of trash, including a dive mask, vintage cans/bottles, 90s CD collection, and an undecomposed corn dog. Thanks to: Bruce Arnheim, Eric Frasco, Curtis Iwata, Bernard Jefferson, Vishnu Jyothindran, and Richard Zhang. And to Laurie Frasco for taking great pictures of the group!

Vishnu won a 2 day dive trip to the Channel Islands. Wish him happy diving! Curtis won a voucher for an underwater metal detector. Happy hunting! Everyone else are also winners in chum prizes and monkeys.

It’s that time of year again! The annual Scuba Show is returning to Long Beach next week. It will be a lot different this year as Sport Chalet won’t be there (if you haven’t heard, they are going out of business). But many of the regulars shops, merchants, training organizations, travel vendors, and other dive community members will be there. And the annual Scuba Show Party will be at the Aquarium of the Pacific on Saturday June 4, 7-11 pm.
