One week down with Vickie, no change in scale weight but we’ve got some small subtle changes, but progress is progress.

Vicki came to me training six days a week and under eating.

Upped food a bit and dropped training to 5 days.

Vickie is the idea client, she communicates, ask question and executes the dam plan to the best of her ability with zero excuses.

At 55 Vicki is out here not only keeping up with but out working the majority of people I know in their twenties.

I’m extremely proud and grateful of her dedication and work ethic.

You don’t have to train with heavy weights to build biceps or triceps.
Bi’s and tri’s can respond fairly well with intensity, moderate weight and higher reps, and with then being a smaller muscle group they require less time to recover so don’t be afraid to train them multiple times a week and they won’t need long rest periods between sets either.

It’s been the longest five weeks of my life but dam if it doesn’t feel good to be back on the grind.

I’ve still a long journey ahead of me before I’ll be back to 100%, and unsure if that’s even possible but I’ll worry about that later.

Almost two weeks post surgery, and I’m losing my fu***ng mind.

On the bright side tho not only am I not putting weight on, we’ve got a 1.6 lbs drop this week with no crazy changes to macros or being overly concerned with the foods I eat, just staying within macros.

Other then being in a tremendous amount of pain with zero pain management recovery is going better then expected so hopefully I can get back to a normal life soon.
as great as sitting on my ass 90 percent of the time may sound I’m straight up not having a good time.

Another successful day at the office.

Surgery at 10am tomorrow morning and I’ll be damned if I wasn’t going to put in as much fu***ng work as possible before then.

Doc estimates 4-6 months before I’ll step foot back in a gym and something about that just doesn’t sit right with me.
I’ll take the time needed to heal up but no fu***ng way am I sitting on the bench that long.

looking forward to how me an can improve on what we have going here once I’m back at it.

Life is the results of the way we chose to respond to what happens to us

I’ve been laying low from social media for a bit due to lots of life changes, with plenty more coming.

2023 was the year I wanted to really push and see if I could make it to the stage, however in June of last year I fu**ed myself up pretty good at work which resulted in multiple herniated and a torn left pec, which as expected slowed be down quite a bit and has completely changed my life and how I can train, and with a surgery coming up for my back my life will never be the same as before but s**t happens.

Doc hit me with a epidural injection last November to which my body very quickly let me know it didn’t like and my heart decided that was a good time to take a little break from doing it’s job.

In January of this year I decided to go into coaching full time and picked up a job in a gym which I absolutely love.

Had the opportunity to put my first fighter in the cage yesterday, unfortunately it didn’t go our way but we learn from it and move forward.

Despite all this and much more I won’t go into I’m still out here grinding
Still putting in the fu***ng work as much as I possibly can.

Ps: pay no attention the s**tty camera work, I’m not trying to end up on some tiktok influencer’s page as the gym creep of the week nor do I need coming at me for invading someone’s privacy.

Fun fact of the day

The lotus starts it’s life at the bottom.
Buried beneath all the dirt and filth of its environment, and manages to make its way through all the s**t and blossoms into something beautiful.

The lotus actually only blooms for the day then retracts back down into the mud just to rise again the next day.

The lotus has adapted out of necessity to thrive in whatever environment it’s thrown in.

Just like in life, we may find ourselves at the bottom more then we’d like and that’s ok.
The only thing that matters is that we adapt, evolve and make it back to the top, over and over again.

As many times as it takes.

Suffer
Overcome
And
Recover

It’s almost that time, and I couldn’t be more excited.

I personally love seeing the gym crowded every January
Yes it’s irritating
Yea you may have to wait a bit or sub a few movements to work around this inconvenience.
Get over it

Don’t be that person
The person snickering behind someone’s back
The person making the snide comments about someone doing s**t wrong
The person thinking they’re better because they started years ago

Instead be the person that helps,
Be the person you wanted or needed when you first started.

Definitely don’t be the person that brings that negativity anywhere near me

I won’t hesitate to put you in your place and humble your ass real quick.

The iron is for everyone.

Post thanksgiving checkins from Friday morning, currently sitting at 190lbs.

Managed to get through the holiday with only gaining one pound, which is much better then the 6 I gained last thanksgiving.

The only difference between this year and last year
I didn’t eat the food simply because it was available and only ate what I wanted, which I shamelessly admit I overly indulged in dressing and half an apple pie with zero f***s given.

Healing your relationship with food is healing yourself.

Just gotta brag about my awesome client here.
Left pics are from our first checkin right side is today.

Roro has hit the ground running with her training and nutrition.

We’re only three weeks into working together and she’s down 7lbs, while training from home with very little equipment.

Super grateful that she had given me to opportunity to help her with her journey and proud of her hard work and dedication to the plan.

Athlete update.
Reverse diet into a bulk has gone spectacular for Nick.
We ended our health phase at 132 and we’re two months into his bulk phase and sitting at 138, still super lean and foods up a decent amount.

Nick has enlisted with the marines so we’ve got a few more months to push for growth then we’ll switch his training up to get him conditioned for boot camp.
