InSANDity is a GO! 6/13/2020
Here's the deal - Based on the criteria set forth by Texas Governor Greg Abbott titled, "Third Amendment To Third Amended Local Emergency Directive" which you can review HERE, we will be hosting our 7th Annual InSANDity event on Saturday 6/13/2020 (finally!)
To make sure we are in compliance we have been directed by the guidelines to set forth the following:
1. ANY participant with the following signs and symptoms may NOT participate in the InSANDity obstacle course event:
Cough
Shortness of Breath or difficulty breathing
Chills
Repeated shaking WITH chills
Muscle Pain
Headache
Sore Throat
Loss of taste or smell
Diarrhea
Feeling feverish OR a temperature greater than 100.0 F
Known close contact with ANYONE who has or is suspected of having COVID-19
2. Hand Sanitizer will be available throughout the course AND at the START and FINISH line.
3. Face masks HIGHLY ENCOURAGED
4. If you are in a HIGH RISK Health Category, we request you not to participate in this event. These conditions include:
Older Adults aged 65 years or older
Heart Disease
Diabetes
Cancer
Weakened Immune System
Respiratory chronic or acute conditions (Asthma, COPD, Recent Pneumonia)
We firmly believe that we will all have to resume our lives at some point and this is the BEST opportunity to take that FIRST STEP as we take precautions to make sure it is safe enough to do so.
As our event is scattered across 2 acres in an OUTDOOR setting with LIMITED participants running every 30 minutes we feel that contamination risks are LOW. Here are the number of participants per running time slots:
8:00am - 35 Runners
8:30am - 11 Runners
9:00am - 33 Runners
9:30am - 8 Runners
10:00am - 24 Runners
10:30am - 20 Runners
We will only be allowing 10 runners every 5 minutes. An example would be for the 9:00am time slot which has 33 runners:
9:00 - 10 Runners released to run the course
9:05 - 10 More runners released to run the course
9:10 - 10 More runners release to run the course
9:15 - 3 Runners released to run the course.
NOTE: As a point of reference - The Neighborhood Wal-Mart (the small ones) allow up to 80 people into the store at any time. In comparison with our event, which is spaced apart over 2 acres in an outdoor setting with a MAX of 35 Runners for a 30 minute time frame, we feel this minimizes contamination risk.
We will be monitoring the situation and if ANYTHING changes, we will let everyone know via email, text and push notifications (if you’ve downloaded the app).

If you feel that this is NOT the right time for YOU to participate then you can TRANSFER your registration to our NEXT event which will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2020. Also, if at ANY TIME you decide this just isn't for you then you can always obtain a refund - No questions asked. As this is a charity event for local El Paso kids we hope you still want to attend but understand if you can't. Stay safe El Paso.
