How Fitness saved my life.
As a kid school was tough.
Sitting in a chair quietly for 8 hrs a day as a kid was a nightmare
Thinking back some of my most stressful times as a kid were parent teacher conferences.
“Eric is so smart, BUT……. he talks too much and CANT sit still !”😏
Lucky for me my parents understood I was different and used my love for movement and extreme sports to get me through school.
I would literarily sit there and decided what assignments I NEEDED to do
In order to get a passing score in my classes. I knew the exact score I needed for my mom to allow me to ride my bike during that weekend races.
Sports were my outlet! It was something that I could work hard and see success. If I was mad, angry or stressed, I could just jump on my bike and my troubles would melt away.
As adults we tend to forget all the benefit of playing and just getting in a got old fashion workout.
Replacing stress relief a glass of wine🍷 or a bowl of that sticky icky 😙
When I started the gym and stopped prioritizing my OWN workout,😒
I was sooooooooooo stressed and anxious I couldn’t sleep even though my body was exhausted.
I had completely forgot how much better you feel after taking that stress out on the mountain or set of dumbbells.
If you’re feeling….
1. So Stressed out from life ,you could pull your hair out.
2. So anixous it hurts
3. Like you can’t sleep no matter how tired you are
Remember working out has more benefit than just helping you look good Naked. Your mental health is just as important as your physical fitness.
Its doesn’t have to be a full session in order to be effective either.
There are plenty of ways to get a good sweat in under 10-15 minutes.
My Poor puppies and girlfriend know when I haven’t been getting my workouts in, because I get angry for nothing. Yet a quick ride and I am a brand new man!
I think this is the real reason I have built my whole life around working out and helping people find a passion for movement and understanding their body.
You too can improve your mental help, start small, get some wins, build on that. Fitness is not a sprint. It’s a marathon
